This Indian market replaces the furniture store that once stood here. You know the one. They had a Grand Opening for 2 years before going out of business. Be careful entering as the entrance is just after the street that has traffic coming from the car dealer right before as well as several businesses located behind the dealer.
We've been to a few Indian grocery stores and we put this as a midsize one. They have a good selection of Indian groceries and quite a good selection of Indian snacks. We're always trying new ones and recently fell in love with the foxnuts. They carry both the just salted and also the salt and pepper ones.
Vegetables are fairly good here, although on our last visit the Chinese eggplant wasn't up to par she we couldn't find a single good one but other vegetables were easy to find great ones.
They also carry some fresh made food just to the right upon entering as well as cold drinks to the far right. Some are the same ones sold warm above the vegetables, so if you're going to drink it right away, grab a cold one from the fridge instead.
We've been here about 4 times so far and there's usually 1 register open you get checked out fairly quick.
Parking can be tight, as I think the dealer next door is parking in some of their spots, so sometimes parking in the front is better. Give this location a try when looking for some Indian food or even...
Read moreI just left this store and had the worst experience. I am a woman of color (African American) and a male worker who is of COLOR (not African American) comes out from the back and stands near me. I can feel him watching me because he is literally doing nothing, just pretending to be "busy fixing the vegetables". So I move to the next aisle and he moved to the end of the same aisle. I can see him out of the corner of my eye watching me. So I quickly turn to look at him and he turns his head but it was too late. I caught him in the act of staring at me. So I said multiple time so he and everyone else could hear me "I'm not stealing". So sad!! I can't say, "If you are of COLOR, don't shop there" because most people shopping there was of color just not African American. Some even darker than I! So sad!!!! Who do you think you are??? Have you not looked in the mirror? I will not...
Read morePoor customer service. The cashier didn't say one word and didn't even turn towards me, nor look at me. I set the items on the counter, said hi, but there was no reply. After a small pause she scanned the two things I bought and ... silence. I patiently waited for her to let me know the total. There were no other customers behind me, so I wasn't concerned about delaying the check out. Silence... no eye contact, looking somewhere to the side. I was wondering how long the pause would last. It was such a strange experience, it was comical. I wanted to pay in cash and needed to know the exact total. Finally I spotted the total amount on one of the displays and paid. There was no "thank you" from her or any emotions. Makes me think now of a self check out.
Lack of interaction with that cashier was such a surreal experience. Not an indicator of the quality of goods...
