Sherry's Market — Attraction in Town of Babylon

I have Celiac disease and finding Gluten free food is always a challenge. Sherry's has an awesome selection of gluten free foods as well as organic, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, etc. If it's healthy and natural, you can probably find it at Sherry's. They carry hard to find products that no one on Long Island carries. The produce is BEAUTIFUL and fresh and is my go to for all things gluten free. If you're shopping for a specific type of food (GF, organic, etc) read the labels. The only thing is that things are not separated on shelves by GF, vegan, etc. So essentially you could have a organic bottle of sauce tucked in between 3-4 non organic GF sauces. You might assume they're all GF it all organic, but that's not the case. My first trip, I learned the hard way. I grabbed frozen pizza crusts that were NOT gluten free but we're in between gluten free frozen pizzas. I had a bite and realized it wasn't GF in time to save myself from being sick, but enough that my dinner was ruined. It was my fault, but it's worth mentioning, especially if you have a food allergy. I agree with the others who have said they're overpriced on produce. I honestly don't know how they sell ANY product charging the prices they do. The prices are LUDICROUS! One time I bought 3 mangoes, and it was $21!!! $7 per mango!! I mean, come on now. I was shocked and appalled at their produce prices.

This is a basic health food store. Pretty ugly looking, standard old fashioned shelves, tons of supplements, pretty much everything at retail prices (some even ABOVE retail - like their Larabars, which are 40 cents above retail).

This place tends to hire high school age girls to work the counter, who seem to know little to nothing about health/nutrition. They do have a girl on staff who works in the supplement section, who has seemingly worked there forever, and she does know what she's talking about, so that's good. Just be careful who you take advice from there.

I placed an online pick up order during this pandemic, It was supposed to be ready between 130 and 2pm. So i scheduled my other curb side pick up orders around that time so I didnt have to take my kids out multiple times and we were very low on things. 130 ,it wasnt ready, 2o'clock I called still not ready. I was told they are running behind and theyll call me. It was not stated when I placed my order that they were behind when I asked how long she goes idk. Very rude, I never even got a call to tell me they were behind so I had to go home unload my kids and my other stuff, now when my husband gets home from work I'll be heading to the store to get food. Awful customer service, terrible and I use to LOVE this place. I understand things are crazy for everyone during this time but you should still have common customer service skills.
