How much does it cost you when you wear what turns out to be uncomfortable shoes? I have spent for more, over the years, for sneakers that were not as comfortable as the Mizunos that I purchased. When I need new sneakers, the only place I would consider going is Fleet Feet of Syracuse. I have lost track of how many years I have been a customer there, but every visit has provided skilled guidance resulting in an excellent fit, even as my feet have changed. Before my first visit, I thought it was a snobby store for elite runners, and not for "people like me;" after all, my feet are not very fleet! (I am an older walker, who never runs.) I visited on a weekday in the early afternoon because I hoped it wouldn't be too busy; it was not. I was greeted immediately, invited to use the foot measuring technology, and even though I have a difficult-to-fit size, I was presented with 3 good choices. The associate who helped me, while he could have been a bit less brusque, was commendable in that he was very focused on giving me the optimal fit, comfort, and the shoe and insert best suited to compensate for the pronation of my feet. He was knowledgeable about the brands, their prices, and provided excellent input. When the best fit happened to be a white pair of sneakers, he offered me the option of ordering a different color. When I said I needed them right away, he offered cleaning tips! Clearly, employees are well-trained, and the store environment is efficient, pleasant, and well-managed. It helped ease my sticker shock (I don't shop much). While a bit more friendliness would have been appreciated, it was overall an excellent experience, as usual. Fleet Feet...

I'll be honest, I originally walked into this place with the intention of trying on shoes finding one that fit and then ordering it cheaper online. after about a half hour working with the sales representative however I knew that I wanted to give these people my business even if it cost a few dollars more. I'm a professional salesman and I never one moment felt as if anyone was trying to upsell me or push me to buy something. when I finally picked the shoe which was by the way only $10 more expensive than it would have been on Amazon the sales rep came from out the back with the same shoe in Gore-Tex that would have been about $50 more expensive, but since it was on clearance he offered it to me at much much less than I could have gotten it either in the store or online. I was blown away by my experience and fleet feet made a lifelong customer out of me. Highly recommended. They also offer running supplements energy packs sunglasses fitness watches and sports clothing.
