I have been shopping at Apple Farm for years. For the first time ever in all those years, I had to return a food purchase that was on the verge of spoiling. Today, I learned how completely devoid of customer service this proprietor is. The manager was not only reluctant to provide a refund, he prorated the refund based on the weight of the returned item. The item was purchased yesterday afternoon but opened today and put on sandwiches for several people. So naturally some was used. Upon first taste, everyone said that the taste was way off. The manager complained that we didn't return the original amount, failing to understand that a customer had tried to consume food that they expected to be fresh. In any event, he forever lost a loyal customer and their family and future generations.
One other point, on a prior occasion, I purchased "fresh pasta" that is kept in an obscure refrigerated unit adjacent to the deli section. The pasta was spoiled, but decided to just throw it out rather than return it. The manager claims that there is high turnover of deli items, however, this pasta was...
Read moreThis place is absolute filth, Cons: -It’s constantly crowded, there’s no room to walk.. like ever -overpriced for certain items -very rude staff, I got accused of stealing because I was wearing a hoodie. He followed me to the parking lot before I got into my car. Mind you, i was a regular costumer and what business do I have stealing $3 worth of ham? FOH. Never came back after that. -got hit in the parking lot THREE times parking there. Each time, I parked different places. The general audience of this place is older, lazy people. So they tend to leave their carts out in the middle of the parking lot and they roll over and hit your car. They need to put more cart racks or poles to avoid this. -smells absolutely disgusting. There was a sewerage problem, so naturally the entire store smelled like a sewer. Mind you this is a place where everything is out on display, all ur fruits etc. if you can smell it, the particles are already all over your food. VERY disgusting. But every other time I go, it just smells like dirty mops.
Pros: None. If I could rate this place 0...

Almost nil on organics, with the exception of prepackaged salad.
Best things:
Fresh mozzarella cheese and their bread, which I believe they source from a few different bakeries. Cannot beat the price anywhere for either of these, and the mozzarella is probably one of the best in Westchester County. Only $6.99 / lb.
Rolls start as low as 30¢ each. And for any individual roll, I think the most expensive is $1.00. Loaves range from about $3-$6. All great quality, and lowest prices, a rare...
