Crossroads Farm at Grossmann's — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

We visited the market market on Saturday around 11am. It wasn't terribly busy. The scallops and fish from Violet Cove were super fresh. Cheese was great, triple cre St Stephen brie really flavorful.The smoked Andouille sausage from Ridgewood Pork store was delicious. Very smoky flavour, a little bit spicy, a LOT of flavor. Highly recommend. Going to get more of that, and the chorizo as well next week. Rounded off with some pickled asparagus for a cheese plate.

It was a bit of a wait for the vegetable merchant, they only have as many people as workers up at the truck area good produce, I got some fingerling potatoes, strawberries and corn. Oh that corn was just perfectly ripe and...

Excellent organic carrots. A nice local option for local organic produce.

I juice and try to live pesticide free because an array of health issues and severe sensitivity related to grocery store bought pesticide produce. This is a terrific option.

Carrots taste sweet and delicious. What I believe nature intended them to taste.

Be careful of the hours and days of operation.

I'm not impressed with eggs or milk, marginal. Natural free range good quality eggs should have thicker deeper yellow color yolks and not break when crack7ng open (Egg lover).

Great Fall festival...

I am so grateful that we have a local farmers market! There is a variety of fruits vegetables, both grown at Grossman's farm and from other long island farms. Local Honey, breads and baked goods, pickles, cheeses and beauty products too are being sold there. There are social distancing rules in effect and everyone has to wear masks. I really love shopping here!

Update! Different varieties of fruit and vegetables and mostly all grown on Crossroads farms. More venders with prepared foods available, there is a local hot sauce vender and vegan tacos and empanadas (both meat and vegan varieties). There is also milk, eggs and organic meat available in the...
