Last night- 3/7/23, I purchased a chair....cushioned office chair with wheels. The chair was in the back with ab a dozen other chairs. Now some chairs just looked old, as if they had been in storage someplace. At least come down on the price esp, when the items are not in tip top condition. The chair I chose was $130 & had 3 small stains on it...so when I got to the front I asked the Cashier if they could take off a few dollars due to the stains. The cashier was a Jamaican woman, ab 55-60 yrs old. She acted like it Hurt her to ask the manager ab my question. Which frankly was not unreasonable... when I asked her other simple questions...it was as if she knew nothing and wasn't quite sure of anything. It was Like watching Paint dry. Wake Up- come alive- make eye contact !!! Perhaps she should be working jn a factory so she doesn't have to interact with people. Another worker happened to be walking by, so I asked her. (Her body launguage said she did not want to be bothered & she did not try to hide it) As she's asking the manager or whoever she was speaking to, I could just see that her face was all contorted & scrunched up as if what I was asking for was coming out of her Paycheck !! PLEASE HOMEGOODS get some people who are Happy to be at work...who match the vibe of homegoods. If the cashier cannot even Smile or Pretend to be pleasant or even happy...thats not the right person. If the person can't even bother to raise their voice above a certain octave, then please don't do it. This is a home decor store, so if a customer asks a simple question..."hey do you like this color" fake it for Pete's sake !! This is how the store makes money. Please get some younger more pleasant people in there. Here's the Positive- Two staff members were on point...on their A-Game: A young man who was assisting customers with the rugs & whatever he could & a security guard who assisted with my chair. They both had the friendly smiles, very polite, had energy !! I should have gotten their names. Sincerely,
A Faithful...
Read moreive always visited this store and found what i needed for my home. Myself as well as two of my family members whom were visiting from the west indies were racially profiled at this location. Dec 20, 2022. First of all there were no carts to use so i stood at the entry way waiting for a customer who was finished shopping so that i could possibly take their cart...that did not work so i had to walk to the parking lot, get a cart and return to my relatives who were waiting inside. Once i got in two hispanic females followed us the entire shopping experience while they took a bag of chips off the shelves and ate as they followed. The store security and the manager also made themselves visible. YOU ALL NEED PROPER TRAINING. Needless to say we were followed down every aisle very closely. Yes i Am a black national from the west indies and i was there to spend my money and i only did so because my family was there to buy some stuff we saw online. Harassing shoppers of color is wrong and trust me, i will not be shopping there again. Patrons should not have an experience as such and im honestly disappointed but not surprised as this is how this country treats consistently treat African Americans. If i could give zero...
Read moreWORST PLACE EVER 📍📍📍 I feel bad for the workers there. I have noticed because one of my friends works there, I see that that they have been completely strict to workers and how they feel mentally or physically. One of my friends recently told me how she needed a day of for a personal situation and got RIDICULED by one of the managers. It is HIGHLY unprofessional to get questioned for your intentions. I personally think that need a new management system because this is RIDICULOUS. My friend works to hard and has the nicest customer service to be feeling this way. Don’t be surprise when people start leaving as a result of how employees are treated at this establishment. This place should be reviewed as zero stars if possible and management should be re evaluated and there attitude need to...
