Modern Terrarium Bar — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

We were a group of ten people who attended a DIY Terrarium planned event at Modern Terrarium Bar. When you enter the space, it is bright, relaxing, and beautiful. If you are a plant lover, you will enjoy seeing all different plants and have opportunities to create your Terrariums.

If you decide to create a terrarium, reservations can be made in advance. Our group, we did the forest option. The glass, supplies, and succulents were all carefully selected and organized upon our arrival. We were selected with a Jade succulent from owner, Rachel Song, as she taught us step by step the importance of taking care of plants, sand, rocks, charcoal, and more arrangements when you create your terrariums.

We had a good time being together, getting to know Rachel as she got to see how we were, and creating our terrariums using our creative spins when assembling what we wanted in the glass.

You have an opportunity to browse the plants, products, and more from other artists who have their works on the shelves. Many live plants are around, plenty of love and sunshine within the entire space.

I highly recommend Modern Terrarium Bar to all plant lovers and novices. Being a part of a beautiful space, you can't get better than that during a weekend afternoon.

I came with to do the succulent workshop with 2 more people. (It was the perfect way to celebrate my sister’s birthday!) We had fun with wine, seltzers and a little snack. I really loved that we were able to take our time and make our terrariums at our own pace. I didn’t feel rushed at all and it was a very relaxing and fun experience. There are so many options to make this my own beautiful addition to my home. I loved that there were different sizes and shapes for the upgrades. I’m happy that the money I spent went to a beautiful piece for my home and a beautiful memory for my sister’s birthday. Rachel was also really helpful in the creation process. I appreciated her honestly in what would work best for the space of my terrarium and the best succulents for the care they need or lighting of where I wanted to put them in my home. She was helpful whenever we had an “uh-oh” moment. She would come right away and help to guide me in what to do, like which tools I can use best for the situation. This is one of my favorite places to shop . In addition to it's beautiful aesthetic , the plants are so beautiful and healthy and always well tended to by the super friendly and helpful staff , who always give extra information on how to care for the plants , and what is best suited for you and your home , depending on lighting and other factors . It is always my go to for gifts , which are of great quality and always kept fresh . I've attended some classes also , which are fun and creative and you leave feeling great , with your creation .
