I can't say enough about my long-term experience with Rise. I've been a medical customer since they had a small shop near University and Culver. Although much smaller, that shop was clean and the customer service was impeccable. One of the customer service persons helped me enormously by recommending a specific strain to help me with anxiety. I began using that product and still use it to this day, 3 years later, because of his recommendation. I wish I could remember his name, but I hope the tall man with the mustache and beard who recommended Select Brand, Flo strain, to me is recognized and knows he helped me a lot.
Once the dispensary moved to the Henrietta location, I was still happy to drive out there from Irondequoit because I had actually began to feel loyal to them because of the amazing customer service. When recreational weed became available and the store in Henrietta started to become really busy, I wondered how they would deal with the onslaught. I walked into the Henrietta location for the first time since recreational had passed and was blown away with the new computer kiosks all around the store. That made the flow so easy, and kept the lines from getting too long. In addition, they have a medical only counter which also helps when it's a busy time so that I can get in and out quicker. Whomever is responsible for the design deserves a shout out and the people who contributed to the organization should also be recognized. It is quite impressive.
Then they started delivering. I was so happy because, being disabled, it can be hard on some days to get out to the store. My delivery person is always Christina, and let me tell you how much I love her. She always calls in advance of arriving, and often moves me to an earlier slot because of my disability and need for my medicine. She is obviously quite detail-oriented. She always checks, unprompted, to see if I have points available that I can use. She is so incredibly friendly, and I actually think we've become friends. She is really good with my dog, who has a ton of energy, and always gives her pets and attention. Then, she told me about a dog toy shaped and in the colors of a joint that had come in and immediately sold out. She told me she would call me when they came in again and grab one for me. She remembered that promise, and a week or two later, when I ordered a delivery, she called me to coordinate times, she told me that the dog toy had come in and she grabbed one for me before they were sold out again. I thought that was so thoughtful, and I became very fond of her as a friend. I later texted her a picture of my dog sleeping with her toy joint. Lol.
If I were a business owner, I'd have Christina working for me in a hot second. I could easily picture her in management because her attitude is great, she pays attention to detail, and she's great with people.

   Read moreMy initial review was not positive, 1 star because I had issues with orders when they first opened up in the area. I kept ordering from the company because they had no competition & I do not drive. They have competition now. Instead of going to them, I'm sticking with Rise despite my initial negative relationship.
Most of their employees are very friendly and good at their job but Christina goes the extra mile, notifying me when she's leaving and texting me when she arrives because she knows I'm not always able to get the door. Knows my habits and preferences with orders before I even need to ask, but she still makes sure that's right. She knows her customers and goes the extra mile for them.
Only negatives I would point out, regarding the website exclusively, is the site not working on browsers like Brave and the inability to cancel or change orders online after submission (I understand when it's being prepared but at 11pm at night? Why?) But these are minor things that are easy to avoid. Good customer service is far rarer and worth sticking around for.
Employees like Christina have done an incredible job at keeping me very happy as a customer. And the company itself has been better with it's offerings and rates. Rise will have me as a loyal customer as long as they keep delivering the phenomenal service they have been...
