I used to really enjoy shopping here because of the efficiency and low prices. It has its fair share of downsides - no one to ask for help, some produce that seems to be rotting, stockouts on popular products (today, it was chocolate milk and shredded mozzarella cheese), unknown brands. But I may never go back because of the way I was treated by the cashier today. They had just one open checkout lane on a clearly very busy day. The previous customer was just wrapping up when I walked in with my cart, and another customer walked in right behind me with her cart. I had just transferred my first item from my cart to to the belt, when the lady behind me started to dump all her stuff on the belt - she seemed to be in her own world and I donāt she she even noticed that I was yet to unload my cart. There was total confusion for several seconds, and then she realized what she had done and apologized. Before I could even respond, the cashier tells her, āNo maāam, you did exactly what you were supposed to do, itās just that some customers are much slower than othersā. I was left stunned and speechless ! Then the cashier rushes around the corner and proceeds to empty my cart on the belt for me, telling me that I was now also responsible for the long line of customers waiting to checkout. The lady behind me continued to apologize, and the cashier kept telling her how she was fine and I was the problem. I quietly paid and left. Frankly, I canāt remember the last time I have been treated so rudely.
It's hard to tell if this cashier was just particularly rude, or just stressed out as a result of how Aldi mistreats its employees (go see their reviews on glassdoor). If I go to Wegmans I do pay more but have the satisfaction of knowing that my money is funding a company that takes great care of its employees. If I need low prices, I can go to the farmers market. I donāt need to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt used to be my favorite shopping place for food. But ever since going to the Aldi on Winton Road, I refuse to go. First off, at least the register could have a smile and be polite instead of rushing all the customers to put their items on the conver to pay. How dare you don't even care about your job that you don't let someone use a cart there? They clearly can see the customer's bought over $70 dollars of food and forgot to get a cart. Then you shove the family food in the cart to mix 3 customers' items. Then I have the balls to tell me I can't use a cart to put my items in the cart in my bag and expect them to bring the cart back when there was a cart right in front of you to put other customers cart. I don't know what your problem was and why you were so damn disrepectful! I talked to one manager who wants to say he was young, wounderful Puerto Rican that he said he talk to the awful man. Then the other order manager said if I didn't have a quarter, I couldn't use a cart unless I got a quarter even though I had a grocery bag to use. I'm done with this store because I use to go there since it's right around the corner. Not anymore I rather pay high prices for amazing customer service or the Jefferson rd in Henrietta where the service is top notch! I had a young lady stop what she was doing to help. That...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just had an extremely bad experience here . Unfortunately the cashier I just had was moody rude arrogant and unprofessional. When I asked the young girl to please be patient as I was packing my groceries into my bag she replied she didnāt have to be and pushed the cart with my groceries aside so she could take other guest. I was in complete shock at her behavior. when I asked another clerk if the previous girl has ok. She said she was due for break. (Although I appreciate her sincerity in not throwing her coworker under the bus it still does not excuse the fact that rudeness is never needed) I understand bad days but this was completely unacceptable and pushing the cart to side instead of giving me a few minutes ultimately was it for me. I ve been a loyal customer for 10 years and did not deserve the attitude.I do plan on shopping here in the future but if this cashier is at the register I will leave and shop elsewhere Maybe stocking shelves in the back would be a better place for individuals that donāt like to interact with people at 9 oāclock in the morning Below is my receipt info *4467 467/076/006/019...
