Salon 311 — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

I don’t normally go the extent to write a review, especially a bad one. However, I am very dissatisfied with the customer service provided. Salon 311 was recommended by a coworker that is a loyal customer and I figured I’d check them out. Let me start off by saying that I was told that I would receive a call on multiple occasions to schedule my appointment to dye my hair, and I never received a call. I had to constantly call to make an appointment and got the run about from different receptionists.

I had previously inquired with Brianna about a hair color that I wanted to achieve a few months ago. I understand that Brianna may not remember as she has many clients and I inquired about the color in May. I suggested to send a picture of the color I want to achieve, as well as how my hair currently looks.

Despite the explanation to the receptionist, she kept insisting for me to come in for a consult. Once I said “if Brianna is there, is there any way you can show her the pictures I sent yesterday?” And without hesitation as I’m on hold, I’m assuming she spoke to Brianna and had to wait for her to come look at the picture.

I needed a good salon as I couldn't get to my normal one. I was recommended to 311. I was able to get an appt right away as there was an opening. There was some confusion and seemingly a lack of communication with my appointment- the person I was recommended to was no longer available for the time I had scheduled. I was quickly offered an appt with Cassie. She was wonderful, and while still a newbie, she took the time to listen to what I wanted to do with my hair and made sure to deliver! The process was lengthy, in my opinion others picking up the slack to get customers out quicker would be helpful. Not everyone has time to sit in a salon for 4+ hours- every little min helps. Also, it would have been nice to be addressed by the person who I originally had the appointment with to apologize since I was recommended to her, an acknowledgement would have went a long way. Overall I am happy with my hair, having to go to somewhere new. Cassie was wonderful and would highly recommend her! Over the summer I was looking for a local hair salon and decided to try my friends daughter. My daughter and I went in for simple back to school haircuts. Well, we found our future hairstylist with Brianna at Salon 311. She is amazing. She is so sweet, kind, patient and of course talented. She took the time to talk to my daughter (age 10) and made her feel so comfortable that now my daughter is excited to go back for more appointments. Let me tell you my daughter’s hair is LONG and without hesitation Brianna blew dried and styled my daughters hair while chatting with her and getting to know her. I also was thrilled with my haircut that I decided to go back in a few weeks later to color my hair. I never know the proper words for what I’m looking for but some how Brianna was able to translate what I want into something amazing.
