I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to purchase furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture, and I must say, it was a decision I regretted deeply. The experience left me frustrated and dissatisfied on multiple fronts, from the misleading warranty to the subpar quality of their sofas and the lackluster white glove service.
Let's start with the warranty. Bob's Discount Furniture boasts about its warranty coverage, but don't be fooled by their promises. Once you take a closer look, you'll realize that it conveniently excludes most of the issues that could actually occur with their furniture. It's essentially a document filled with fine print, listing countless exceptions and limitations, leaving you with little to no protection when something goes wrong. They make it sound great, but in reality, it's nothing more than a deceptive marketing tactic.
Now, let's talk about the sofas themselves. The term "discount" should have been a warning sign from the beginning. The quality of the sofas at Bob's Discount Furniture is simply atrocious. They may look somewhat decent in the showroom, but after just a short period of use, you'll quickly realize that they are flimsy and poorly constructed. The materials used are of low quality, and the cushions lose their shape and support far too quickly. It's clear that these pieces are not built to last, despite any claims they may make about durability.
Furthermore, their so-called white glove service was a complete joke. When I opted for this service, I expected a seamless delivery and setup experience. Instead, what I received was anything but. The delivery team seemed rushed and disinterested in handling the furniture with care. They left marks on the walls and did not bother to clean up after themselves. To make matters worse, they were unwilling to address any concerns I had about the condition of the furniture upon delivery. The white glove service turned out to be nothing more than a hollow promise, leaving me to deal with the aftermath of their careless handling.
All in all, my experience with Bob's Discount Furniture was highly disappointing. The misleading warranty, the low-quality sofas, and the lackluster white glove service have left a sour taste in my mouth. I would strongly advise against purchasing furniture from this establishment if you value quality, reliability, and customer service. There are far better options available that offer superior products and genuinely stand behind their warranties. I bought it because it specifically states” accidental rips, cuts, punctures, ( Unintentional items, opens, ink, scissors, & knives). Amongst so many other things. Burns from cigarettes etc. list goes on.. My top chaise cushion tore at the seam. ( No idea how). So, when I went to the store, they made me very aware it was going to be covered. Well, guess what!? My claim isn’t covered!! After putting my claim ( With their guidance ) They are claiming it isn’t covered on my warranty! Except I bought the top warranty and it States it on my warranty that it’s covered.. They will lie to you to get your money! Nothing is ever covered apparently!It’s all BS! They didn’t honor the warranty we all sighed!! They told me that the Rip in the Seam is from wear and tear… Yet, the warranty states,” If the furniture Rips, Tears, punctures within 5 yrs. They will guarantee coverage with Goof proof”! A tear at seam ISN'T MY DOING! That’s on them for their sofa not being properly made! So, their “ Accidentally rips, punctures, tear at seam,” is all BS! So basically when it’s their fault, it’s on you! It’s messed up they won’t honor the warranty we paid for. ( The one I wasn’t going to buy, till they Talked me into it with this BS for a contract). I haven’t had that sofa for 5 yrs! Only 3!!! They broke their promise to their customers whom keep them open!!! Do NOT PURCHASE Furniture & THE GOOF PROOF. Or from here. Their furniture is awful! I spent $1300 for the sofa .. It’s unreal!! Read moreI am absolutely done with Bobs- After purchasing multiple pieces from here and paying absurd amount for the warranty Bobs has switched to an online only submission system for their claims. I am having to take pictures of furniture from multiple angles for internal mechanism issues- a week has gone by and nothing other than picture requests. Probably faster to go to small claims court than try to work with bobs to get them to actually take care of covered damages.
I have a 3 year old sofa and tables and now 2 out of our 5 recliners don't work at all. ALL of the tables have cracks and damage- we had them replaced twice only for the new ones to continually crack the same as the old ones. Absolute garbage. Spend a little more somewhere else.
Updating to say I finally got them to make an appointment for someone to look at our chairs (mind you not to replace them) and then after waiting two hours for them I get a message they're not coming when they said they will and may not be here until 8 on a Friday night. Was also denied a fix for my table when the wheel broke off the bottom- the wheel that holds the whole bottom shelf up- because THEY DON'T COVER THE TABLE LITERALLY BREAKING APART. The real kicker is that on Bob's website it literally lists that this warrantly covers: "Breakdown of wood & hard-surface furniture (including failure of mechanisms, motors, levers, drawer glides, tracks, & handles)".
