Riverhead Flower Shop — Attraction in Town of Riverhead

I wish I could give this shop a zero rating. I stopped in hoping to purchase an arrangement for my daughter’s end of season showcase for cheer. She saw a bouquet in a local grocery a few days prior and mentioned how pretty the roses and sunflowers were. I stopped in and with the help of one of the workers picked out several flowers to make a similar bouquet with. This took a few minutes and she proceeded to the back and began to make the arrangement. While I waited the phone rang and another employee answered the phone and come to pick the remaining of the same roses that I had picked in my arrangement. She hung up went in the back and told the other employee she needed the roses I had chosen and came to tell me I had to pick something else. When I asked why she said she just received a call and needed them, the owner had called to remind her of an arrangement and she forgot to put them on reserve. She refused to sell me my arrangement, and she refused to call the owner back per my request. A little back story I shop here frequently and there is an area for reserved flowers and I mentioned this to her and she told me that I just need to pick something else. I asked her for her name and she responded it was Danielle the manager and I also inquired when was a good time to call and speak to the owner and she said she’s very busy. I highly recommend Riverhead Flower Shop! I used them for my off-site wedding ceremony on a grass field and my wedding reception at a vineyard. Because my wedding was very weather dependent I was indecisive about a few things, however Peggy was extremely helpful, patient, and willing to work with me.
