Susan F. made this place seem LIKE THE WORSE PLACE in the world. I called the place in the night before and the Ali gave me a honest pricing through the phone. This was our ABSOLUTE last place we wanted to spend our nights in riverhead. We were in the parking lot still trying to book alternatives. The old crusty MOTOR Inn sign just didn't give us a good impression of the place. Once we dragged our feet into the entrance head down with disappointment we were greeted by the friendly inviting presence of Ali. He was completely chill, even when we were giving him a hard time by asking if he could show us different rooms throughout the building, he kept making jokes, giving us suggestion on where to go in the city and just being an overall down to earth good guy. The room was ehh, its what you expect to pay for, very affordable compared to the alternatives. Alot of the reviews here made my friends and I that people were going to bust through the door and just straight out rob us. People screaming in the hallways, constant banging on walls. As if there would be roaches on cigarette stained walls, with moldy wet rugs in the hallway. This was all UNTRUE. The three levels of security on the doors made us feel safe, 24hr cameras surround the hallways and an Air Conditioner that could cool and heat made us feel comfortable. After spending the night, my friends and I left our room A MESS as if the looney toon Tasmanian Devil, himself Taz spun all over the room. We went out for breakfast for a little over an hour and left the need service thing on the door handle. When we came back all of our goods were well organized on top of the table as if they were handled with care. Would recommend! (only for a few nights if...
Read moreThis hotel is very beautiful, the staff is also very nice, and the cleaning lady is also very nice. The place gave both peace and scenery. I had 2 rooms with my family and both the rooms were very clean, when I walked in i smelled the cleaning products which I love the smell of and the rooms are very clean. They have a breakfast room for u to get your coffee if you don't feel like making or buying head over to get your coffee. The pool looks very clean and inviting even though it was closed. They have 3 separate but beautiful family areas equipped with a few grills and picnic tables and clean areas to put down your picnic blanket and hang out with family. The staff was so accommodating when it rained they provided us with an umbrella to get back to our room. I had 2 rooms that were poolside and right next door from one another. And this place is next to everything you can possibly think of food that's walking distance to a beautiful park with otters, muskrats. This place gave us the freedom to let go of driving, or taking Uber. I will definitely be coming back, my family said they would love to come back when the pool is open. I love this place 5 stars all...
Read morejust stayed this weekend, paid $200 a night for a room that should have cost no more than $50 a night. The mattresses were horrible, our backs are hurting so bad, they are only about 4 inches thick and the springs were in our back all night , room was very old and looks like it has not be updated since they opened, no modern touches except a flat screen tv. I could hear every step the people in the upstairs room were taking, all night long, boom, boom of their feet, I had to have the ac on and a fan to drown out the noise. Towel racks in the bathroom falling off the wall. towels were so rough and so was the cheap toilet tissue. Come on owners, if your charging that kind of money at least put a little money in the rooms to make them comfortable, especially the mattresses. I will say that the room was clean except I found a few hairs on the pillowcase, they smelt clean so it may have been from the washing maching. ...
