I really enjoyed visiting this museum and learning about the history of whaling in this area. They have a whaling boat on display outside. Nice small gift shop with very reasonable prices. The museum has alot of displays and pictures. Plus they offer nice clean restrooms inside the museum.

Went to the museum on the first day it opened. It was awesome and the staff was outstanding. Just wanted us to know everything which made it great. Loved the stories about the graffiti on the whale bones. Really a gem.

I love this museum it's such an easy walk from the main street less than 10 minutes. The staff is nice and they have a good selection of photographs, historical items and history with native Americans and whaling.

Out of all the whaling museums I’ve visited across the country, this was by far the worst front desk experience. The staff member greeting patrons was cold, unwelcoming, and unprofessional — a terrible first impression for any institution, let alone a museum. She was slouched over the counter, practically leaning her head forward, which came across as disinterested and disengaged. She presented poorly both in demeanor and appearance, and seemed completely unfit for a front-facing role. I will also be writing to the board directly, as this level of service is unacceptable and they deserve to know who is...

I really love everything about this museum especially their current show where they showcased student artwork from South Africa! Additionally I really enjoyed exploring all of the amazingly preserved relics that speak volumes of the history of Sag Harbor. The staff were also extremely welcoming, especially Jen’s knowledge of the different relics and town’s diverse history! I will definitely venture here again when I visit Long Island and highly recommend you explore everything this museum...

Was really interesting to see Sag Harbor as the prosperous whaling port it once was. The historic building is gorgeous and the collection was surprisingly large + informative. Not your usual local museum that is more basic entertainment for children on a rainy day ... while children will enjoy it the curation is geared toward adults. Parking can be a...
