Before I go into the food, let me say I am a big one for atmosphere and vibe. This restaurant has an upbeat, energetic, joyful vibe. You can sit inside or out this time of year, and we chose to sit inside. The staff seems to take pride in their work – very attentive and eager to please. They checked back with us often to see if we needed anything. The patrons seemed happy to be there and fully enjoying their meal. The lighting and music were not overwhelming. Great casual date or family experience. Now onto the food - first of all, I am a pizza snob so it takes a lot for me to be impressed. Surprising to me, every pizza I tried was Fantastic. Especially surprised with the fact that the gluten-free crust on one of them had no hint of the flat, paper dry, typical gluten-free flavor. I do not require gluten-free, but I would have totally eaten it anyway. The regular crust was thin and perfectly browned due to the brick oven in the corner of the kitchen area. First off, we had number six, the FRANCESE – that when we did gluten-free. Next, we had number seven – POMODORO. Then we ate number four – the New York Pepperoni. Lastly, number 5, Summer squash. I would highly recommend all of these as each one was unique and stood out and its own way. Beautifully presented, lots of color and each distinctly favorable. We also had a salad called the Arthur Avenue. It tasted like an antipasto all in one. Very fresh and crispy. The herbs were perfectly mixed. Most surprising and unusual was the tomato and watermelon salad with ricotta cheese and fresh basil. Light and pallet clearing. The mixture of watermelon and tomatoes was delicious. And also very pleasing to the eye. We took a break and had more wine – I recommend the Fido de Mezzo 2018. It went well with everything we ate. Time for dessert - we chose vanilla ice cream with pistachio and candied oranges and the tiramisu. Personally, I am an ice cream girl so I loved that dessert but my friends that are into tiramisu said that it was amazingly good. One said “to die for,” lol. We left with full tummies and happy feelings and definitely we will be back again. You definitely should go here. Five stars or two...

The renovated space won't stray far from its culinary roots: For the past 30-plus years, it was the go-to pizza spot in Sag Harbor. Now with a design and menu overhaul, Sag Pizza will offer quests a relaxed Italian spot with wine presented in simple tumblers and serving Tourondel's signature pies, salads, and fresh pastas.
Beverage Director Percy Rodriguez explains that in addition to eight ape-five craft beers and three local wine selections that change seasonally-Sag Pizza's Italian wine list will be interesting and offer anbig three for local rose each making an appearance at Sag Pizza ccessible price point. "It showcases all the Italian heavy hitters, from Chianti and Barolo to Sicilian and Campania wines. Even if you don’t recognize a region or producer, it’s not a huge risk to get adventurous and give something new a try.”
Long Island wineries have not so quietly earned themselves a solid reputation as producers since the 1970s. Rodriguez points to the big three for local rosé, each making an appearance at Sag Pizza. Channing Daughters will be on tap all year while Wölffer Estate and Macari Vineyards will be available on the bottle list.
Keisuke Nibe of Maruni & Co. handled the restaurant's design aspects. He has worked with Chef Tourondel on several projects that include L'Amico, the Vine, and Eventi Hotel's event space. With a "design without designing" direction in mind, Nibe used wood, tile, and stone-key materials in typical Italian pizzerias.
Similar to LT Burger, the space retains a local, beachy feel with crafted details. The space partially retains its original wood wall paneling, now painted white, along with the wood floors and exposed ceiling wood joists. The white-tiled open kitchen space is in stark contrast to the centerpiece red-brick oven. A firewood display along with cans of tomatoes and bags of flour are collected on nearby shelving, adding warm touches to the area. The biggest physical change is in the storefront, where floor-to-ceiling bifold doors open up the...
Read moreI was disappointed to say the least. I grew up in Sag Harbor and was used to going to Conca. My children and I ordered 3 12 inch pizzas. My daughter wanted spinach, which they don’t have, so she got plain cheese. My son got the NYC pizza and I got the summer squash. My daughter’s had something that looked like spinach on one piece, was told it was arugula which she wouldn’t eat. My son said his tasted burnt. Mine was burnt. The crust and the bottom. The pesto was just globs placed around. We each ordered a soda. The coke was fine, not sure what the Dr. Pepper was or tasted like. The waitress came by when the food first came out and asked us if everything was ok. We of course said yes, it was too hot to eat to taste the burnt parts. After that we didn’t see or hear from her again. We sat there and waited as she walked by and asked everyone else if they were ok. I finally asked the guy folding pizza boxes if we could just get the check. The waitress comes over and asks if everything was ok. I showed her my burnt bottom pizza and my daughter’s and she asked if we wanted another. I told her no I just wanted the check, it was hot inside and my kids were thirsty and she hadn’t come by to even see if we wanted something to drink, their glasses had been empty for quite sometime. Her response to me was we don’t offer free refills. I just spent $68 do you really think I was worried about a free refill? I would have paid whatever for another drink. The point was she hadn’t asked us but her straight go to was we don’t offer free refills. Do I look like I need a free refill? So is it you’re only allowed to have one drink regardless if you pay for it or not? I didn’t ask how much a refill was I simply said you hadn’t come by to check on us and my kids had nothing to drink. My money still spends the same way everyone else’s does and my credit card still swipes the same way everyone else’s does so why point out you don’t offer free refills? I didn’t ask! Needless to say the food was not all that and the service was definitely poor. I will not go...
