Very loud. The service people were yelling over the smoothie blenders in Spanish to each other. Barely could hear the music. An hour until closing, they start shutting everything down, so don't expect any hot food if you go in later in the day. The cashier was nice. She was trying her best. I can tell she was kinda embarrassed about the loud yelling. Didn't see a pour over coffee station, so don't expect that if you are a real coffee person. They have LA Colombe coffee, which is good. Wide range of only their coffees. So don't expect different roasters to display their coffees. If there was single origin or better than good to great coffee, I didn't see it. The barista pulling shots made me a very fine doppio. They do have ice cream/ gelato and smoothies, which my daughter loved. It's located in the back of another clothing retail shop, which is fine. Sagtown is a cafe where everybody who steps through the welcoming doors is treated like a local. Doesn’t matter if you live down the street and you stop in daily for morning coffee on the way to work (or an early morning surf), or it’s your first time visiting Sag Harbor. You’re treated like a friend in this gem of a neighborhood cafe and eatery.
This is a spot that makes you feel at home. There’s a real community vibe inside, especially when the owner (a local community leader and volunteer firefighter) is there to make sure every customer is satisfied and greeted with a sincere smile and a hearty Sag Harbor handshake.
