Not wowed, yet wouldn’t discourage anyone from going. My husband and I, on our honeymoon, decided to take an evening to get dressed up and eat at a nice restaurant. We made reservations and was able to seated upon arrival, which was early. The decor of the restaurant was very nice in the area in which we sat. The other area was a little more dimly lit, so I didn’t pay as much attention. The ambience was very nice. With it being autumn, the room was decorated with autumn leaves complemented by string lights and fish tanks. Our host was very nice and attentive, after which letting us know our waiter would be with us shortly. This is where our experience began to go a little south for us, but not terrible. He didn’t introduce himself, shared the specials of the evening then left giving time to decide. The menu was a little limited from that on the website, yet it took him a while to return (perhaps he was one of few waiters) The food came out timely, after which we didn’t see the waiter again until he came back to wait on the table beside us. Then is when we found out his name; the other party had asked. Not a bad experience and the food was pretty decent. If in the area, I’d consider...
Read moreSag Harbor is incredibly charming and definitely worth a visit if you’re in this part of Long Island. There’s free two-hour parking throughout town — easy to find a spot if you come early, a bit trickier around noon, but still manageable. We had brunch at Paige and really enjoyed it. The team was super friendly, and the space has both indoor and outdoor seating. We arrived around 11:30 and nearly had the place to ourselves. It got busier later, but never felt cramped or noisy.
The food was great across the board. I had the crab cakes — crisp on the outside, flavorful inside, just really well made. My mother-in-law had the Western Omelette without ham, which came with julienned home fries — a nice twist on the usual. My wife had the vegan grain bowl, and it was clear that someone actually cooked and seasoned it properly — not just a bunch of ingredients thrown together. The vibe is rustic but modern, and while I’m not a big fan of the fish tanks in the back, everything else about the experience was really positive. Prices are reasonable for the area, especially considering this is one of the wealthier corners of the country....
Read moreWhile on vacation I rely heavily on reviews to make dining decisions and in this case, all the positive feed back of people was dead on target. My family and I enjoyed an amazing dinner from start to finish at this fabulous establishment. To start, we were provided options of very creative cocktails and a huge selection of standard spirits and winds. We enjoyed a pre-dinner cocktail. Second choice to be made was appetizers where we chose Octopus, Crab Cake and fried Calamari. Each absolutely delicious. We raved and gobbled down last bite. For dinner we ordered a bottle of wine from a wide selection and had steaks, chicken and shrimp type entrees that were superbly presented while served by extremely courteous waiter (Endre) who was extremely knowledgable on each aspect of the menu etc. We finished with Gelato.
If you are in Sag Harbor area and looking for a great place for dinner, this is definitely your...
