Manager, Shanley, refused my mother her discount because an employee gave her the wrong (expired) punch card which expired in December. My mother did not live within 100 miles of a Savers prior to January 21st and there is proof of this. The store manager said that my mother was lying and that there was no possible way this was an employee error. She said she signed for the new cards herself and my mother and was lying. ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL! My mother has been a regular shopper at Savers since before she moved away over a year ago and she and her friends have been donating and shopping there since she moved home late January. Not only will we never shop there again, we encourage our friends and family to steer clear of this place run by Shanley until the situation has been rectified. Not tho mention that the employee in the drive through today admitted that it was an employee error and said that employee was fired 2 days ago and then referred us to speak...
Read moreThis place was nice at first. But, when I take into account that items sold at the mall I've found have been consistently cheaper than Savers...I start to rethink this place.
I've seen these people tag on $15-20.00 for USED, WORN DOWN, RIPPED and STAINED clothes?? Thrifting use to be fun, like a treasure hunt to find something you like. To dig through the piles of unwanted stuff and find something that makes you happy at a fraction of it's original cost. But these employees are reallyyyy trying it. It just doesn't seem worth it to come here anymore. You can find new clothes at the same cost elsewhere. There are still cheap thrift stores out there that have traditionally very low prices and are aware that most people who come here aren't teenagers trying to do what is trendy but families who need clothes at a reasonable cost for their children.
Bottom line: overpriced, don't recommend. Staff can also be rude, dazed out or just scary. Maybe try...
Read moreMy rating is based on the donation drive thru, and one worker in particular. I brought several boxes to donate one day, and the guy who worked there did not seem pleased. I figured he was just having a bad day, but when I went to donate again he was there, and had an even worse attitude. I told myself I wasn’t going to donate there again but I had some sneakers in my car so I went through again. And again, the same guy, skinny white guy in his 30’s maybe, was there and just acted like he hated life and hated his job and just generally made me feel very uneasy and unwelcome. I’m never going to donate to Saver’s again, and I guarantee you that several people who have donated know the exact person I’m talking about. Here’s my message for him: if you don’t like your job, then quit. These donations HELP people and you make the experience feel like it’s such a chore for you. Grow up. This is...
