Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, located in Central Valley, New York, is a popular shopping destination featuring over 220 stores offering discounted prices on various brands. Visitors and shoppers often highlight the extensive selection of high-end and mass-market retailers, making it a favored spot for both tourists and locals. 

Though we live in New Jersey, this is where we shop at most of the major occasions from more than a decade.

Positive Aspects: • Variety of Stores: Shoppers appreciate the wide range of brands available, catering to diverse tastes and budgets. One shopper we met said he is visiting from Boston and noted, It’s less than a 4-hour drive from Boston and is usually a shorter drive than going to NYC during rush hour. • Shopping Experience: Many visitors and shoppers enjoy the overall shopping experience, mentioning the spacious layout and the availability of various products. A traveler from Canada mentioned, The outlet mall is a huge shopping area… There are various clothing, shoes, bags, watches, jewelry, and accessories brands to suit everyone. . Different EV charging stations available on Rear parking building.

Negative Aspects: • Customer Service: we seen many less-than-satisfactory experiences with staff. For instance, we recounted an interaction at the visitor welcome office where they felt the staff member was rude and disrespectful while we asked some questions. • Pricing and Bargains: While many find good deals, others feel that the discounts aren’t always significant. As a reviewer, “To be honest, this outlet had higher prices, and not many bargains in my opinion after 2023 except for the long weekends and Mall is over crowded during Holidays.” • Parking Fees: There have been concerns about new parking charges. As a visitor noted, “They block off most of their parking lot at the convenient location and center of mall to charge you $15 for self-parking… This is a new thing started couple years back and is greedy and insulting to customers visiting from long distance.”

Travel Considerations:

For those traveling from New York City, the outlet is approximately an hour’s drive. Bus services are available from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, with tickets around $40 per person. Visitors have found this mode of transport convenient for a day trip.

Well, the first thing which comes to mind - it's Huge. This shopping location was built for shopaholics who desire premium goods at bargain prices. In short, Woodbury Common has it all. Woodbury Common has established its reputation as one of the most popular, and largest, shopping outlets in the nation.

it is located in Central Valley, NY, just an hour North of New York City. It is a popular day trip from New York, and as a result, many vehicles operate between New York City and the outlets.

shopping location was opened in 1985 and has slowly grown over the years since. It now welcomes more than 13 million visitors a year, and it continues to grow as its current structure is renovated and new stores are added to the already extensive selection of shops.

The giant contiguous outlet store now has 220 outlets and unlike neighboring outlets, it has high-end brands as well like Gucci, Lacoste, Dior, Versace, Prada, Valentino, Balenciaga, etc...

The layout of the outlet shops is quite nice and cleverly done. The shops are grouped in Stepford neighborhood groupings such as Niagara, Saratoga, and Hudson Valley.

so, plan your shopping properly as you can't cover the whole outlet in a single day for sure!

Restaurants and eateries are prevalent in Woodbury Common, as well. If you’re looking for something quick, you can check out Shake Shack, South Philly Cheesesteaks & Fries, or Au Bon Pain, among others. For a sit-down meal, it does have an Applebees! Also, there are many bistros, food trucks, and a large “Market Hall” with dozens of food stores.

Parking: the first time I was seeing Valet parking in any outlet mall, we were there on the 3rd of July and the parking was almost full, of course, we were not going to Pay $10 that too in the outlet area, we searched on google and seems, the outlet has 4-floor parking garage behind Old Navy store, ample of parking. We parked at level 2 and started our shopping from old navy.

5 Years ago (2018) Hey there. Been there last Saturday with friends from NJ... Heard about lot and was thinking whether we should go jersey garden or this. Choose this. No doubt you have lots of options (guess 400+ outlet) and it’s almost impossible you can explore all. Pros- -400+ outlets -Posh outlet too like zara D&G , Gucci, Armani -They are divided in courts and well located -One tram is also there to get you tommy outlet and its fun Market hall is there for lots of food and nice restaurants are also there

Cons- what you will be expecting when you drive 40-50 miles to reach these locations, of course price. and no, NO.. They are still like 30-40% off which you can get in malls near to you.

It creates a pleasant and relaxed shopping environment. Additionally, the mall is clean, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing.

The staff at Woodbury Common were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were readily available to assist with any inquiries and provided excellent customer service. Their willingness to go the extra mile made the shopping experience even more enjoyable.

I also appreciated the various amenities offered at Woodbury Common. There are plenty of dining options available, ranging from fast food to sit-down restaurants, allowing visitors to refuel during their shopping spree. Additionally, the mall provides ample parking space, making it convenient for those arriving by car.

One minor drawback is that the outlets can get crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. However, this is to be expected given the popularity of the mall. Planning a visit during weekdays or non-peak hours can help mitigate this issue.
