Today I experienced my first form of discrimination in the capital region and I am beyond disappointed. I recently just moved here from the NYC area and I’ve been desperately wanting to try this place so I took my daughter . Initially we were the only customers in the restaurant when we walked in and asked to be seated the owner told us to find our own seats she was not too welcoming however I ignored all the banter and myself and my daughter still sat ourselves and placed an order. Another group of people came into the restaurant and I’m not sure if maybe she knew them I’m not sure but she was serving them their appetizers and salad before served us anything. she never gave us anything but warm water and dirty dishes, and an appetizer which came out after the other party appetizers when my daughter mentioned to her the dishes were dirty she was a bit upset however I still remained there once the food came out and I saw that our order was still not out I got up to leave and the woman started yelling and screaming about how the food was coming out and that the people that was sitting there ordered before me and they did not she handled it very rude and unprofessional she was yelling at me in front of my child and the other customers also her own daughter was there! i felt beyond disrespected Her husband then came out and tried to explain but at that point I was already out the door and she told me to get out of her restaurant saying don’t come back. It’s kind of like she was upset she had to service us. She treated us horribly I couldn’t believe and I knew it was because I’m BLACK because maybe she thought I was going to give her a problem I notice Alot of places out here are not fond of black educated people. I was asking her to help us choose our meal because we were new to the place her energy was just very dry and rude to myself and my daughter however she showed her other customers much respect. We were not even greeted when we arrive she told us to sit ourselves but sat the other customers! I give this place a 0 for the customer service however the one thing we did get...
Read moreWe wanted Thai food when we were in Troy and decided to go to this restaurant because of the good reviews. We were greeted upon entering and seated right away. We were there for lunch on a weekend and it was not busy at all.
Looks to be a family run business. Service was good with only the lady and her daughter working the front.
We ordered the Thai tea and it was a bit too sweet. The Tom Yum noodle soup was good but also a bit on the sweet side compared to what I've had in other restaurants. But I do like it though. Tastes more like the Vietnamese version. The chicken curry puffs were good with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. Though a bit pricey with only 3 puffs for $8. Also curry flavor could have been a bit stronger. We will have to go back to try more off their menu. We would have liked to order the Mango and sticky rice dessert too but we were too...
Read moreThis is our second time ordering. We did pickup the first time and it was ready lightning fast. Perfectly prepared and scolding hot (that's a good thing). Tonight we discovered that they now deliver to our area. Win!!! Again, delicious, good value. Also, lightning fast delivery. The curry puffs and the fresh rolls were amazing. The satay was good, a different flavor and tasted great with every sauce we got. So, the sauces, all of them delicious. We got the Pad Thai for the second time, because it is so good, and we think it was even better this time. The green curry had a fantastic spice, we ordered with tofu this time (chicken last time) and it had a perfect texture. Yum!! You need to check...
