Jeanne M Stine Community Park — Attraction in Troy

Whoever is in charge of this farmers market clearly doesn't go to farmers markets to buy their groceries. It seems like the organizer threw this together with minimal thought, then crossed it off their To Do list. Food truck. Music. Tents. Check. Check. Check. This is not a community building attraction if there's no place to sit and no shade. How terribly disrespectful to a musician if their audience is forced to walk by ignoring them. Can't even stop because the tent is up against the walkway. Of course, not much thought was put into the music. Does everyone like the same music? Would you attend a movie if you were just told it's "a movie"? Recorded accompaniment ...really? There are lots of good musicians in Troy and surrounding cities, but this venue is closed to them. It's cronyism. Good musicians have a following and will help publicize this market. Such a lost opportunity for the city and a disservice to the sellers...
