I have a 30+ year old genuine Swiss made watch, and a lot of places here decline to service it and change the battery. I'm glad I found this little store at Park Place, right next to Macy's. I received good service and a new, quality battery for my watch at a great price.

I love this place for all my watch batteries and warranties. The repairmen are knowledgeable, polite, and reasonably priced. Always honorable!

Went in to on 02/29/20 to have a Gucci watch band repair. Was quoted $18 dollars to have it repaired. I asked the guy if when he did that if he can also go ahead and resize the watch he yeah sure come back in 20 min. Went back to pick up the watch and there was an oriental lady who did the resizing and when I went to pay they added on another $15 for a 1 min resize. I told her that the guy told me he would do the repair and sizing for $18. She went and talked to him and came back with no we are charging the $15. I argued that I was never told anything about an added a cost and she didn’t want to hear or understand what I had to say and told me I could wait for the bald white dude to talk to so I said sure. When he came and talked to me he was very Condescending and right away put me on the defensive side. He asked me if I was under the impression that when I left the shop for the repair that I thought I would have the band pin replace and sized for the same cost and I said yes I was. So then he tells me do you want us to charge you or put the links back in. Soni told him put the links back in (this is principles involved here) so he grabs the watch and then starts to put the links back and in and then tells me “ you know what it’s not even worth it I’ll charge the $18” then starts to belittle me with a Mx Donald’s analogy if I was to go buy burger and I asked if I could have chicken nuggets that those should be for free.....sorry but that’s a poor analogy !!!$ I didn’t ask for more product to add in there and I told him that. Then he starts telling me in a very rude tone that I am assuming things and adding another job on top of what he was doing and assuming it’s all for 1 price , so I told him that before I left since he was repairing that link if he could just resize it to and he says sure then he just assumed that I would Oh what ever price they want to chArge? It literally took 1-2 mins to size it how can you charge $18 for a 20 min repair and $15 for a 2 min sizing? AND had he told me They would charge an additional $15 I would have just said NO!! I can get it sized for about $5-$7 from another watch shop (A1) then he starts bad mouthing that shop which is uncalled for period!!! Things went south after that and we started to argue. This guy is really unprofessional!!! How can you charge for anything else before telling a customer the price and let the customer decide? This is not professional customer service!! I have been going to them for years!!! I remember when they were in the other side of the mall, that’s how long I’ve been going there and even sending my kids there. I ended up Paying the $18 that was originally quoted but left with a very bad taste in my mouth. I guess my business with this watch shop is over. And I normally don’t write reviews but had to for this situation. F you go there make sure you are totally aware of all costs before you agree!!!! Horrible...

I took my favorite watch in for repair here based on the solid reviews. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience. Once I dropped it off and explained what it was doing, the individual said that they would take a look at it and call me later with an estimate for the repair. A week later, I hadn’t heard a word, so I called. I was told that my particular watch was made overseas in Japan, so the parts are quite hard to come by and when they found the parts they would call with the estimate. Another week goes by and nothing. Finally, I drove up to the mall to retrieve my watch during the 3rd week of them having the watch and still no phone call. A gentleman greeted me and found my watch. He said that they “just found the parts and the estimate to fix is was $144.” None of this made sense to me especially with the fact that I was having to chase them for any answers at all. I asked to have my watch back and that I’d try another repair establishment for a second opinion.

I took it then to A-1 and the man there fixed my watch in 10 minutes! Didn’t need any parts AT ALL! He charged me $6.

I don’t know what is up with the repair shop here in the mall, but they either are way too busy and can’t keep track of the watches they have in for repair or tried to take me for $144! Either way not a good experience.

*This is a quick response to the owner. I didn’t question your opinion of where the watch was made nor the challenge of finding parts for it due to it being crafted in Japan. The frustration for me was twofold: 1) The communication from your store to me was really not good. I had to chase y’all for updates each week. I know you’re busy, but to state that you’ll give me updates and then you don’t and the I, the customer, has to chase you by calling and eventually driving by for updates just isn’t professional. 2) The diagnosis was beyond expensive and there was zero detail to the estimate. No mention of what the parts cost or what you charge for labor and cleaning. So, the perception to a new customer is that the number is pulled out of thin air.

If I get an estimate for work on my car I get a rundown of the cost for parts, labor etc. I didn’t get any of that from y’all.

And why do you cut down your competition? That wasn’t very...

A few years ago, I had found a Batman watch from the 60's in the bargain bin (1966 Gilbert). It was still in the case. It worked, but I could not adjust the time. I was worried that if I put too much force, I would break it. So my first stop was to the watch repair store downtown. It looked like the store has been there since prohibition, so I figure they would know how to fix it. When I walked in the saleslady was really nice. When I showed her, she didn't know, so we went over to the repair lady. She was extremely rude, and dismissive. She said I should throw it away, after fiddling with it for a minute. Then she said it would be weeks before she could take a look at it. Feeling defeated, I said thank you to the sales lady and went on my way.

I was worried that I would experience this at other stores, since it was a "kids watch" from a bygone era. Then I remembered seeing this shop in the mall, when I used to work there. So I drove there, and would see how I fared.

Upon walking in the guy gave me an enthusiastic greeting, as I unboxed the watch. I told him the issue I was having, and handed it over. He said it was in great shape and that it was an old watch, and that it was pretty cool. When he tried to adjust the time, it worked right away. I screamed in delight, and asked what I did wrong. He gave me a tutorial with some watches where it clicks out again to adjust the time. I had never owned a windup watch before. The way he showed me was like a teacher, which was awesome. A lot of places show annoyance, when you make a newbie mistake. This whole interaction only took a couple of minutes, and I was ready to go. I gleefully thanked the guy, and went on my way.

Thanks again! Sorry for the length, but I just wanted to share my whole experience with trying to get this watch fixed. So others can know that they won't feel intimidated about asking questions. Although this was years ago, I never...
