My experiences the past few times have not always been great, but yet I find myself back here again. Great prices, good selection of clearance, returns, and sale items. Kudos to them for that. Most of the furniture is in stock locally at their DuPont, WA, warehouse. However, their customer service lack and the willingness to work with the customer (designer) is very subpar.
Yesterday (12/13/19) I stopped by and purchased some faux plants. As always the sale staff are very hesitant to sell things off the floor. As a previous furniture consultant, I understand the reason for not wanting to sell something (i.e., particular furniture) off the floor. One of the reasons is the product needs to stay in the store as a display model so other customers can see them. However, I have a problem when it is accessories or small things that should be sold off the floor.
I was taught as a sales consultation always to try to close the sale. If the store gets delivery every Thursday, why would they so hesitate one or two things off the floor? Especially if I have been there on Wednesday and needed last minute things for a project. My manager always told me it is good to sale items off the floor and rotate the store with new items. If it is a popular item, we will bring it back. It is always good to keep the store model pieces free of scratches. I think the staff at Dania need to do a better job of using their judgment of wanting to close the business if they have a designer or anyone wishes to purchase items the same day. However, they seem like they would be MORE willing to turn away the sale.
Anyhow back to my experience from yesterday... Two of my three items were not available at the distribution center. He was kind and allowed me to take the two off the floor, but TBH, he was very hesitated to sell the plants off the floor. He wanted me to come back and pick up the last one, but I had to convince him to take my last piece off the floor as well.
I also wanted to purchase a furry orange pillow cover, but again it was not in stock at the warehouse, so he refused to sell it off the floor. I asked when will it be back in stock, and he replied: “I do not know or something like it does not say.” I asked him nicely, well, if you don’t know, can I please buy this one off the floor? I expressed to him it does not make sense to keep a pillow on the floor.... They had other oranges furry pillows that were similar, for example the square one, however I wanted the last lumbar. So I went back home to check the Dania website only to find out that the website list the pillow as “in-store exclusive,” so if it in-store exclusive, but why are you not selling it off the floor
Lastly, I would hope they reconsider having in-store warehouse pick on Monday and Tuesday. Sorry for the long rant, but I hope they make some changes otherwise I would be taking my...
Read moreGreat looking couch at store, good sales person in store but unhappy with delivery service and quality.
Had to have our couch delivered numerous times due to damage each time! The quality of the $4,500 retail couch does not seem good at all.
See below for full review:
Our couch, bed, office desk and mattress where delivered when we moved into our brand new house.
Our experience in store was good but delivery has been a nightmare.
The first delivery our couch had a long gash in the top leather head rest like a box cutter or know sliced through the top layer of it.
On top of that, our mattress turned out to be extra firm and not firm as we had picked upon sale.
They took both back a week later but today our new replacement couch came and same issues.
This time it came out of the truck unboxed and didn't have the fresh leather smell the first had when they unboxed in house.
There were scuff marks, another (smaller) cut in the leather of a pillow.
One of the seats has wear marks on it.
It almost looks like a cleaned up floor model.
On top of that, a beam that leads to the living room area they walked through with couch has a dent in it and brushed up mark that wasn't there pre delivery. House is brand new construction.
They delivered two more times and the same delivery company screwed up again and the couch had damage ".
During the last delivery, the delivery man become hostile towards my wife when she wouldn't sign a document saying no fault from company if damage occurs during delivery (she hasn't signed before).
He ended up leaving the couch they were taking to replace on the front door step.
I had to come home and put it back in the living room. My 100lb wife handled the couch better then there delivery men did.
The only saving grace has been dania admitting fault and replacing the couch for us numerous times.
Dania finally had a leather guy come out to fix some of the damage (which looks a lot better but still damage remains).
I was assured by the sales man that they would also fix the chrome leg which had a big scratch and mark down it but the leather guy (surprise surprise) said that wasn't his job. Dania did not respond to my call when I called back to ask about the leg of the couch. Still have not
Dani did give us some money off the couch but considering how much we paid and what we went through and the damage occurred and some of which still exists , I do not believe it to be enough compensation.
Also, be warned. I definitely did not want this couch after the second delivery went wrong but my wife did (she loved the design and match to our living room).
My concern was the quality (due to damage during deliveries)
I can see that for $4,500 retail this couch is not going to hold up. The marks and scuffs just get more...

I rarely write reviews, but this was an experience I have to share.
We spent months searching for the perfect sofa for our formal living room. We visited several showrooms and researched a few online retailers.
We found ourselves at Dania in Tukwila. We were greeted by Dexter. He was very friendly and showed us around. After leaving, we were leaning towards a brown leather sectional. Not 100% set on it, so we did more research.
We ended up visiting Dania 3 more times before making the purchase. He was there all 3 times to answer more questions. We ended up getting a white leather sectional sofa.
From time of purchase, leading up to delivery, and day of delivery, Dexter called to ensure we had what we needed and our expectations were met. Even on his day off, he had another associate follow up with us.
The delivery team was wonderful. They were friendly and professional. They were careful with our floors and cleaned up after themselves.
Unfortunately, one of the corner piece was incorrect and didn't fit like it should have. I sent Dexter a photo, and right away, he was on it. He had to work through operational logistics and ended up sending out another sofa set! The delivery team replaced the incorrect piece and double checked to make sure that I was happy with it. They were willing to break down and take back the entire set if I wasn't completely satisfied! I feel like delivery companies are in a hurry to get in and out, but these guys were all about customer satisfaction.
We could have easily bought this sofa online, but I'm so grateful that we met Dexter and had his assistance throughout the process. He really cares about his clients and will do everything he can to go above and beyond.
If you're looking for furniture or a house (we learned he's also a real estate agent),...
