I went in to pay for a sofa I thought I wanted. The employee confirmed the sofa was in stock in their warehouse already, so it would not have to be ordered. I used my debit card to pay in full. When I asked if I could return the sofa if I didn't like it once inside my place, the employee said no. I looked at the receipt provided to me, and it only stated that there could be no cash refunds and that there would be a 20% restocking fee. I left the store to go take care of some other business and thought about the purchase I made. I didn't feel comfortable with it and the fact that I couldn't even bring it back, didn't help. I found the same sofa at the actual retailer’s website and they offered a protection plan and delivery at no charge. So, I changed my mind and returned to Sansaco within the hour of purchase. The same employee that helped me said they could only give me store credit. I didn't become upset or raise my voice, I just asked why only store credit. She turned around and asked another employee and he opened the dialogue with a nasty attitude out of nowhere and started to reprimand me about changing my mind, how they do not force people to buy anything, how I should have made up my mind during the purchase and that there needs to be a penalty for me not knowing what I want. I remained calm, even though I was uncomfortable and taken aback by his attitude. I didn't do anything to him or the other employee to speak to me like he did. To avoid him getting more upset, I just said okay. He then proceeded to say that they have to charge me a service fee for the change. I asked him how much the fee is and he thought about it then said 5%. I said okay and the other employee proceeded with the refund. I remained quiet and avoided making any further conversation or eye contact with the gentlemen because I didn't feel like being talked down to again. There is nothing on their documents that says anything about a service fee for changing your mind. Due to the sofa already being on-site, they didn't have to order anything, they didn't take it down or move anything for me. I think the employee made up this fee because he was upset that I...
Read moreThis was literally the WORST experience I have ever had at any store hands down. -5 Stars.
I urge you to trust your instincts when you look around the generally dank shadiness of this warehouse furniture store. However, if you insist on purchasing something from here, handle the transaction as you would buying from a shady place.
Make sure you buy something off the floor that you can see/feel/touch. DO NOT make the mistake of purchasing something from the catalogs. Just think of all the times you have ordered something online and it wasn't quite the right color/shape/size etc. and you have had to return it. If this ends up being you, there are ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.
I bought an off-white colored couch from the catalog, it arrived at my apartment a tan brown. The store clerk Bill initially seemed to agree with me that the couch color was not as pictured (it was somewhere between the white It was suppose to be and a brown mocha color of another couch). However even though the pictures were clearly a misrepresentation of the item he told me NO returns or exchanges I was stuck with it.
When I persisted and asked for the name of his manager he refused to give me his manager's last name or his own last name. He screamed at me to get out of the store while pounding his fits on the counter. "You need to leave, get out of the store". I'm a 120 lb girl. I honestly felt threatened for my physical safety.
You are much better off going down the street to Ikea, the furniture is the same quality as Ikea furniture in my opinion, and you get much better customer service and delivery if necessary. Ohh, make sure to add the cost of delivery to your estimate of this "cheap furniture" as it can be quite hefty.
You've...
Read moreBE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU BUY!!! Dishonest Salespeople who lie and deceive. They do NOT have their return policies posted anywhere in the store. I decided against a sofa that I told them I wasn't sure about. But they charged my credit card and have a no cancellation policy, even on merchandise in the store. That's ridiculous. I called them less than 24 hours after what I thought was a hold, NOT a purchase. I should have never given them my CC information. I just wanted to save time and not go back in a second time. Stay Away!!
They do NOT have their return/exchange policy posted anywhere in the store. I signed my credit card slip thinking the order was to hold the merchandise. I told Bill I was not sure about it, and that I was waiting to see if my buddy wanted my current sofa. I didn't even get any delivery information. I called asking to cancel the order, the sofa was in stock, and Bill told me NO. They have a NO return policy. I asked him why he didn't tell me and he pointed out that it is on the bottom of the sales check. Which I only saw AFTER he charged my credit card. No price is worth slimy business practices like this. Buyer BEWARE!!!
In the end he charged me a 20% restocking fee, then had the audacity to charge tax on top of that. This is, by the way, illegal!!! Like I said...
