If I could give this store location ZEROOOO stars I would no doubt about it!!! As a previous employee of the Nordstrom company I am absolutely disgusted that south center location mangers lack the basic characteristics traits that a retails manger should have not to mention that I would expect that these mangers I have encountered today have had to have some type of costumer service training or experience that wasn’t at all displayed today in store. I called the store before even driving down there and was told something completely opposite of what Beauty manger Erika was telling me once I got to the store in person which could be justified giving that beauty manger Erika inserted her self into matters that had nothing to do with her designated department which is beauty not hand bags. Beauty manger Erika then gets what she says is her manger of the store with a higher position who then is even more disrespectful, dishonest, and not to mention completely and utterly rude than beauty manger Erika and not to mention the store manger Tony who beauty manger Erika states was the store manger and some type of hight manger than her for him to basically say that whatever beauty manger Erika says basically goes because she is the manger but Erika, beauty manger Erika is the manger of just the beauty department. Has no experience in hand bags at all so how is she to determine anything in a department that isn’t hers or a department she has no training or experience in. When store manger tony was asked if there is a way to be able to figure out who I was on the phone with and who answered the call and such, store manger tony completely lied and said that there would be no way to find that out which is again another complete lie because not even as a former employee of Nordstrom but just as a regular civilian when you call a company within the first couple of sentences it is clearly stated that the call is being recorded for not just legal purposes but training as well. I personally called the store 5 different times 2 of the times the phone was answered and I spoke to 2 do employees both of which said similar things and answered my question’s similar leaving me to believe this is the policy that is in place set aside from my working experience with the Nordstrom company as well as a costumer for the Nordstrom company that has returned multiple things as well as my mother who has done the same thing find it very disturbing when being told differently by two different groups of two people. Beauty Manger Erika and store manger tony did nothing to help but had no problem showing their complete disrespect, ignorance, and dishonesty but the two employees were very kind and helpful. Which makes me believe that the system of this store location is not being ran right at all how is it that your employees are actually doing their job and great costumer service employees but people like store manger tony and beauty manger Erika who get paid more than these employees treat costumers with such disrespect and have very low costumer service skills wit costumers is very disappointing and unfortunate. I will definitely not be shopping there ever again and I will most definitely be contacting corporate and emailing store general manager Tamara Marsh to file a complaint and may even consider law suit options. Read moreI have some good points and rlly bad points. For one, the majority of the employees here are very welcoming. The younger employees are so helpful and encouraging especially in the shoes and makeup departments; which is why I love to shop here for certain brands than going to Ulta and Sephora. The older employees are so friendly and reach out to offer you samples to try this brand or that as well as inform and offer any gifts or special events that come with your purchases or for Nordstrom members (which my mom was a part of). However, I feel the complete opposite during their yellow ribbon sale seasons. The employees were quite the opposite. I get there are ranks there for what you can buy or not with the sales as members; however, the advertised products in our emails did not match up to what we were said in store. I had went to the downstairs layout in the bag sections where the makeup sets I saw online were displayed. I arrived at the cashier and was told that I could not buy it since the tier does not apply to me. I asked if I could buy it without the sale price and she said as long as you pay normal price and use your card points; which was fine by me since I kinda just wanted it. The lady told me many times that my mom's Nordstrom card was not going through and there were no points which was silly bc yesterday she literally just purchased her refills with the same card a day ago and had no issues. Every few visits before this, my mom was always told she had some points and if she wanted to apply them now however my mom was saving it for me when I wanted to get something soon so this was just silly. The lady told me there might be something wrong with the "balance" or membership and told me since I "have no membership card" I cannot buy it; so I decided to put it back. But something felt fishy, since the people right behind us were greeted more kindly; and before I left, she asked if they had a Nordstrom card to which they replied no, but were still welcomed and able to buy the yellow ribboned items on display; the same shelves and markings as my set I put back mind you. I asked my mom to come the next day to just buy it for me since maybe she doesn't take me seriously as a teen; however, she saw + ran into many other customers who had no Nordstrom card and were warmly welcomed and able to purchase from the floor; even a few other girls my age who shopped with no card either. The only difference? All of them were white. Sorry Nordstrom that I'm an Asian POC girl but you can't pick races; accept it !! It's safe to say that woman had some complete bias towards me and has not made me want to return to this location during annual sales along with my friend who accompanied me; left a sour taste in her mouth. We took ourselves downtown to Nordstrom Seattle was more welcoming and had kinder services during these sales. Is the place here overall good? Yeah its pretty chill normally. Just avoid going here going to sales bc you might get served by hypocrites like these. Loved every other employee there though! Would've preferred someone with better conduct...
Read moreThe return policy is definitely amazing. De customer service is impeccable once they do realize you're there to spend some money. If you appear to be a looker or Wanderer, you may not get noticed by a salesperson. This is definitely a place to get a high-end bag, nice expensive leather shoes, or an impressive baby shower gift.... that is if you're into impressing people. I know that there's more expensive department stores than Nordstrom's. I definitely appreciate the return policy as well as exchanging things. If you're able to prove you purchased your item there, they will willingly give you credit or allow you to exchange the item. I believe my daughter got some Tom from here after realizing she couldn't fit them and never wearing them 10 to 12 months later, we return them. The customer service person didn't appear to be hesitant or reluctant to give her an exchange. Also, they have personal stylists that can help you put together an amazing look if you happen to have an event. The staff definitely can smell money! This is an amazing store to shop at if you have 500 to $1,000 to burn. I visited this location multiple times because of the MAC Cosmetics counter that they have. I admit, I was overlooked on a few occasions.... and actually had to get a woman's attention to ask for help. And this is on a not so busy day!
