I went yesterday to the mall hoping to find a prom dress for me. i had been looking online and i liked so many from dillard’s so i thought it was gonna be the place i would find the perfect dress for me. i get in there and i’m looking around and have about 4-5 dresses which if you shopped for prom dresses know that it’s hard to hold them so i put them in a fitting room for me so i could look for any more. Almost as soon as i started looking I seen a worker with my dresses in her hand leaving the fitting room so i went up to her not mad just thinking that it was a mistake and told her i haven’t got to try those on and that i was sorry. She rolled her eyes at me LITERALLY and gave me my dresses. i put them back in my fitting room but felt rushed after because i was worried they would grab my dresses again so i didn’t get to look just kinda grabbed the first ones i seen that were cute. I started trying them on and everyone knows you need a woman there like your mom to help you put your dresses on because tying them feel impossible to do yourself and not having a best friend really or a mom that likes to be apart of your life all i had was my boyfriend and dad. my boyfriend not being a bother at all went back in to my fitting room in a chair and would wait till i needed him and help tie up the dress then i would go out and show my dad. I guess one of the workers went into my room with the door closed just popped in and told my boyfriend that she’s gonna be right back and later when i was showing my dad a dress the MANAGER opens up the door no knock nothing i could’ve been changing she opens it and yells at my boyfriend that he can’t be back there which i would understand but he minded his buisness in the fitting room only there to help me like the moms were. So she kicked him out then i was left by myself trying to tie my dresses and got so stressed i cried the rest of the time and it took forever because i couldn’t get the dresses on me. Mind you there were other guys in the fitting room that didn’t get asked to leave that were walking around. Also figured out later on that the locks didn’t work so i was scared they were gonna open the door on me changing. They also had holes in their door where the wood had broke and if you’re looking for a dress that can fit bigger breasts it’s not the place because 90% of their dresses have cups as big as my cheek.Overall BAD experience which is sad because last year it...
Read moreI have posted about Dillard's before and gave it a five-star. However, Dillard's just went from a five-star to a one-star.
This review is for Dillard's 71st Memorial, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
First of all, I would like to thank everybody who looks at my reviews. As of today, I'm just over 9 million views.
I love Dillard's and purchase quite a few things there, even down to my bed sheets.
Again, this review is for Dillard's, specifically the Ralph Lauren Polo Department.
This may sound a bit snobby However, for the most part, I am a clothes horse. All I wear is Ralph Lauren clothing: Polo glasses, Polo shoes, Polo shirts, Polo socks, I think you get the gist. I buy Ralph Lauren for two reasons, 1. They fit me impeccably, 2. They are well made and very durable.
I do 99% of my Ralph Lauren shopping at Dillard's. Brad and Kathy, who normally work in the Polo Department, are absolutely fantastic. Always willing to go the extra mile to help a customer and very are personable.
However, today, my visit there was not so wonderful. Brad and Kathy were off, and an elderly lady was working the department. I've encountered this woman before, who was not very nice the first time! In my first encounter with her she was very condescending to an African-American female who was looking for a particular size. I actually stepped in to help the woman as I know my way around the Polo Department.
Today, that same customer representative would not even acknowledge that I was in her department. She would not look up and acknowledge my presence, nor would she even say hello; the worst was not asking if I needed assistance. After being there for a few minutes, I said hello to her, her reply back was very curt and condescending.
Of course, I walked out without purchasing anything....Dillard's loss!
In this day and age of online purchasing, you would think a store like Dillard's would make an extra effort to ensure their customers are welcomed and their customer service reps would be very helpful.
I did speak to a store manager who was very understanding, polite, and professional. He did say that he would handle the situation. However, if this is the type of customer service that I'm going to encounter at Dillard's, I will take my shopping elsewhere. Online shopping is easy, and there's far too many other stores selling the...
Read moreAttention Dillard’s management team: I was shopping with my wife this week in your makeup/women’s area. I normally wouldn’t accompany my wife in one of her outings looking for makeup or perfume, but, it was our anniversary and wanted to treat her to a special day that was all about her and what she wanted to do. Of course she chose to shop. Long story short, we experienced the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Her name is Hannah Robertson (I think), bigger gal, hair pulled tight in a ponytail, but on this day the “tail” was placed on top of her head, like what you would see in an 80’s music video. I’m only commenting on her looks so you know who I am speaking of. First off, horrible attitude. Not friendly like the other ladies that are normally working in your department store, so my wife tells me. We were looking to spend well over $500 dollars that day. But after spending a few minutes with Hannah, my wife and I both decided to take our money elsewhere. To add to her unfriendly attitude, she had the WORST odor I’ve ever come across on a living being. She’s old enough to know better, so not sure if future training in the workplace and basic hygiene would even help. But because of this Dillard’s employee, you lost our money and or any continued business. She needs to be fired and sent to the wash. Drop the attitude, it’s costing you valuable customers. In a day of online buying, faces and rudeness like hers is killing malls across America. Take action before your reputation is soiled like her...
