DO NOT BUY JEWELRY FROM HERE!!!! they stole my gold from my ring being sized down from an 8 to a 5 1/2, i paid for the warranty and they refused to fix my 24k gold chain or even give me a proper refund for the necklace. they said i might be able to get a store credit gift card for no more than $250 but there is no guarantee that i will even get what i paid for it let alone the value of the necklace which is crazy because an oz of gold is currently worth about 4k and i have a 1/4 oz gold necklace, basic math tells us that it’s worth at least $800. what did we pay for the warranty for if they’re literally refusing to fix it and in fact wanted me to have some random guy from a completely different store in the mall “fix it for cheap”.. i called today to ask for my gold from my ring because they failed to give it back, the girl clearly didn’t know what she was talking about and told me she would ask someone and call me back. it’s been an hour and 15 minutes and i haven’t gotten a call back. after about 40 minutes of waiting for a call back i called them because i thought she forgot about me, a guy answered and put me on hold just to come back to tell me that she was with a customer and that he would take down my name and # to give me a call back. that was 35 minutes ago. i now believe that this was all intentional and they stole my gold on purpose and are absolutely not going to give it back or even call me back. UPDATE: it has now been all day and i have not received a call back so i called the customer service # for jcpenneys. she asked me if i called to have it sized or if i went in store. i told her i went in store, she then said that they send it out to the company that is contracted to do their warranty program and that i needed to call them. she gave me the #, i called them, and it wasn't until i got to speak with a supervisor that knew what he was talking about after 20 minutes of dumbing down the situation repeatedly to a woman that had no clue as to what she was talking about and he was actually wonderful and the only person to actually help me and he doesn’t even work for jcpenneys! he told me that since i took it to get it sized in store, jcpenneys sent it to jcpenneys ppl that do the sizing and everything and i needed to talk to them. so basically i’m getting sent all around and have made it back to jcpenneys who i STILL have not received a call back from and they close in 30 minutes. so absolutely do not go here...
Read moreMy mother and I went to the jewelry section and they were having a sale on their fine jewelry. Well, we spent about $3000 between the two of us on expensive jewelry and we bought the protection plan for all of our jewelry. The lady that was there assured us that if we bought the protection plan that if anything went wrong with our jewelry that we can send it in and they would fix it. WELL... We bought our jewelry on pre-order and we sent our rings in for sizing. When we went to pick up our jewelry the guy at the counter couldn't find our jewelry and he was sarcastic and rude to us and we had to get the manager over to help us locate it... anyways.. so we got our jewelry and we left. THE VERY NEXT DAY one of the rings my mother bought lost a stone and she wanted to send it in to get repaired since she has only wore it for ONE DAY. They told her they won't repair it because the cost to repair it is more than what she paid for the ring. DO NOT BUY ANY JEWELRY HERE!!! We could have at least saved the money on the protection plan since it is basically useless. We spent a HUGE amount of money at your establishment and we would have returned for more jewelry but your poor customer service has deterred us from wanting to come back. I will also be telling everyone that I know to never buy jewelry here. You would think after spending $3000 somewhere that they would take better care of you. I also already read how you guys respond to the other bad reviews. "Oh we are upgrading the store thanks for your support." Instead of spending money to upgrade your store you should spend the money to fix what you did wrong with the customers who are bringing you the money in the first place. Reguardless of the price we paid for our jewelry we bought the protection under the pretense that our jewelry would be protected. If the protection plan doesn't cover the jewelry then why sell it on those items to begin with. Her ring lost just one stone. Thats crazy to me that JCPenny cares little about their customers. This is why you should never shop at big mega corp stores. They just do not appreciate or take care of their...
Read moreAs much as I enjoy the good deals at jcpenny, I had a bad experience on thanksgiving night pre black Friday sale around 11pm, by the register upstairs close to the elevator, with a short and heavy girl young chick who was very very rude to me. Well she overheard me the young guy that looks like he just started talking about returning my things and re-ringing it again so I can use my purchase on my rewards, then I took it upon myself to advice the young guy, because with my 19 years of customer service experience, I thought it would be nice to remind him to always remember to get customers phone number so he can add their purchase on their rewards, so he can avoid them coming back to him angry. So this chick turned around and said well I overheard you talking with him and it would be better to not speak with him about what he did, but instead tell a supervisor and basically saying I need to stop trying to sound like his mother, because he doesn't have to ask me to add my purchase on my rewards, so at this point, I was heated up😡😡😡 to hear her stand in my face and tell me a lie like that, when I know family members that have worked there before, and they talked about how important it is for customers to get their rewards. Anyway I asked to speak to a manager and when he came all my problems became better. Because he was very polite and I wish I can remember his name. But he saved the night and after, I asked him for a hug and it was even better. Thumbs up for his great customer service. Please my advice to you guys is to find that chick on that day at that register and give her some more training, because her mouth will run your customers...
