Hobby Lobby — Attraction in Turlock

We don't go here much anymore and today we were reminded why. Today we went to return bulbs that were melted together and very cheaply made. We saw Christmas boxes half off decided to get some for our business. All the boxes were stacked biggest to smallest inside one and other, we double checked ALL were that way. So we figured that's how they were selling them so we picked our favorites. Got to the checkout and the cashier said we had to pay for all of the boxes separately......they were not displayed that way nor was there a sign. Apparently it's an unspoken store to buyer rule, boxes are stacked inside each other to save space so please take the smaller boxes out. When we said how are supposed to know this if we rarely shop there. Both the cashier and the Manger just looked at us like we were trying to pull a fast one. We will remain...

I was followed around, like if I was stealing. Very annoying, I just got off of work I'm in my nursing scrubs like be for real... its very uncomfortable. I used to work in retail when I was a teenager so I understand protocol when it comes to theft but all my belongings where in the basket visibly in sight... I just wanted to browse around after a long 12 hour shift. ADVICE FOR MANAGEMENT stop profiling people , if your going to get your employees to gang up and follow your shoppers to make them uncomfortable then get professional security that knows what to look for in common shoplifters... instead of having your employees looking goofy and making actual costumers uncomfortable. There a lot of reviews of costumers stating the same expirence... get it together or shut down because you're losing...

I moved closer to Turlock almost 2 years ago. As we were moving in, hobby lobby was being built. It was a sign we were moving to the right area 😂 I actually enjoy shopping at this location more then the Modesto one. It’s cleaner (probably because it’s newer) the staff is always friendly, doesn’t seem to be as busy, lines are always very fast!! I ended up stocking up on paint brushes, certain brushes weren’t selling as good as other locations so they discontinued selling them. When they did, I was able to buy a whole ton for a super discounted price! It was awesome.

I really like their entry way, all the products displayed there make me want to buy them. Especially the wire fuzzy chair they have there. The entry way always smells...
