If I could leave 0 stars I would. Our waiter messed up 2 of the 4 orders. We asked him to fix one by having the meat cooked to well done like we'd asked, and for a side salad to be brought out instead of fries. He huffed and took the undercooked burger and the side salad was forgotten. 30 min into the meal and no sign of our waiter...we flagged down a manager and informed her that at this point we were waiting on a side salad that was part of our original order, water refills, and french fry refills.
The manager brought everything out for us, and 5 min later our waiter came out with another couple baskets of fries that we hadn't ordered.
We went to pay the check and the waiter had charged us TWICE for the burger they had to remake. We asked the manager to correct it. When she came back and told us she took of care of it, we assumed that out of courtesy for the awful experience that she had not charged us for one burger and our app, so we paid the bill and got our receipt. As we were leaving were cornered by 3 people waving a bill in our face claiming we never finished paying. One of them went so far as to try to get us to pay for the whole meal again saying that our payment didn't process even though we had an approved credit card receipt.
So the manager had made a mistake when she had attempted to correct our bill and now was accusing us of not paying instead of apologizing for it. Her response when we asked her why she had taken it off the bill was "doesn't matter..you ate the food didn't you?"
After being treated so poorly we didn't even see it being worth arguing, the folks there clearly weren't organized or communicating well so we left cash for the "unpaid" portion and left. Bottom line, they made 100 mistakes, we paid our entire bill, but yet we were being accused of not paying. How can you pay something you're not charged for?
I'm not one to leave bad reviews and I understand that things happen, but I am absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service skills especially by the shift supervisor...
Read moreTREATED EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL BY ANDRES, THE ASSISTANT MANAGER #2964 TURLOCK, CA !!! We decided to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday at this establishment on 12/8/2021. The staff at Red Robin has always been professional and respectful. Unfortunately, today was the exception!! We were a large party of 7 adults and 14 kids. The hostess did not give us proper sitting instructions. She directed us to a two tables with a running bench and left. One table was long and the other table was only for 4 adults. We were left confused and wondering where to sit. Our 17 kids plus 1 adult sat at the long table. I might add that our kids were on their best behavior. We sat at a near by table. Few minutes later the hostess came back so we asked if it was okay to sit at that specific table. She okayed it and walked to the front of the restaurant. Immediately after we were approached by a very rude and unprofessional staff member, Andres the assistant manager, that demanded we move tables. He told us in a very agitated tone of voice that we did have the right to choose our own table and that we had to MOVE! We told him we had accidentally sat at that table. He cut us off and did not let us explain further. Our group was in SHOCK. I was outraged! We proceeded to move as the waitress and manager herded us to our assigned table. He said, “figure it out!” that’s your table. Andres treated us like cattle or sheep, he forgot we were humans. I would have left but the majority of my party did not want to make a big fuss. Fortunately, my dear father-in-law is not fluent in English and did not understand the words that were said. For rest of our experience the waitresses were courteous but the damage was done! My appetite and group experience was ruined. The irony is that the table we accidentally sat at remained unoccupied the entire time we were there. - ¡Andrés no tuvo m……..!!! Until,I heard,I there was in one Modesto/Turlock & Fresno area. Where I live in Merced is Turlock/ Modesto area is Turlock, /Modesto area! But,if you u live in right smacked in the Yosemite national park is 2 places.--U Have 2 choices,ether at Fresno, or Turlock, CA! These is my 1time been into Red Robin Restaurant. I'll go again in the near future!! Not bad for a 1st timer!! If your a local go for it&,taste for it your self!! Not me!It has been on on local TV, &on cable,&on satellite! Go for it!!
