I was there August of 2018 with some new friends and it was a pretty cool place, it was a bit crowded but was also summer and almost time for kids to go back to school so everybody was out. The water is VERY salty here, but the beach is clean and not many rocks to try and avoid with your feet. There is a no glass bottle rule enforced here at this beach which is nice. Positive environment here with good vibes. Definitely worth your time to give it a visit even if you dont have plans to get in the water. Read moreThis is a very beautiful and clean beach. Best of all for me were the sand dunes. I spent more of my time in awe at this unique ecosystem than I was in the water. As a plant lover, it’s really nice to come and see just how these unique flora adapted to what essentially is a desert-like habitat while also constantly being bombarded by the salty wind and water. Also to think that this is where sea turtles choose to lay their eggs makes it that much more special. I wish I could’ve extended my trip longer to see the sea oats in bloom to that iconic tan coloring....

Leashed Dog on beach $400 MINIMUM DUI $400 with a driving class DUI is not the same as having a dog on the beach. Police patrol everything every single hour of the day. Sorry Tybee, your police and city ordinances are OUT OF CONTROL. You are driving away every single person.
