Summer Winds — Hotel in Tybee Island

we stayed in 521. The parking space was terrible. its an L shaped turn the second you get in the gate. I estimate I spent a day trying to get in an out of it over the course of two weeks. The staff (little contact we had) was nice. We had some kind of grunge backing up in the master br sink the moment we got there. It was addressed and cleaned right away. Then the dishwasher backed up grunge into the kitchen sink, that too was addressed. The traps on the bathroom sinks dont work, there is no plug for the tub in kids bath.The TVs are SMALL. The one in the master br needs to be updated. There are about 5 remotes for the front room ( make that simpler) There are no locks on the siding glass doors to the balcony. The place has been updated and looks nice, the kitchen is well appointed. The location is good, the pools are REAL small and only one is heated, so if your coming come in the summer. No rel shopping except the usual shell shops and surf joints. The Key card thing was rediculous. We went through about 18 in 4 days. was told dont keep it near credit cards or cell phones. This is the 21st century, we have key cards and cell phones. Maybe up date with a FOB system. I would have to say I would stay here again just not in this unit. Pay attention to the reviews on local restaurants. They have been spot on. Lastly there is no gym. Modern people like to work out and carry credit cards. I was told I could go across the street to the Y and they would give me a discount. Hows about you provide this service for the customers instead. Im on vacation. Im not...

stayed @ Summer Winds (532) complex on June 22, 2009 - June 25, 2009 for a brief get away w/ family. everyone was impressed with the unit & enjoyed the scenic view from the room's balcony each evening after touring the savannah/tybee area. our family has decided that we will come back next year if we can get a condo located in the Summer Winds complex of Beachside colony. IT'S THE PLACE TO STAY WHILE ON TYBEE. The pools are smaller than most complexs, however, the beach view made up the difference. It was just absolute awesome. The bartender was quick to prepare the drink orders & each was made exactly as requested. The only thing that our condo lacked was a dvd player which was not such a big deal after all since we did'nt have time to watch movies with some much more...

my family and i had 2 rooms there 538,521, horrible the fire alarm was hanging out of the ceiling tha patio door didnt lock there were no bath towels no washcloths the room was filty also the tvs in both condos that we had were very small 15inch tvs i thought this had to be the kids condo for a minute there........i will not b returning we stayed there oct 1-4th i stayed at desoto condos they were pack this year so i had to go with this terrible decision I DONT RECOMMEND SUMMERWINDS TO NO 1.............................THANKS DIS-SATISFIED...
