Mini vaycay with the Famil.. They wanted to hit the beach b4 the summer was completed & we headed back to school for the 24-25 school year.. Drove 4hrs from Lithonia,Ga.. Decent drive not alot of State trooper presence. We stayed at the Sand Castle hotel which was only 5 a minute walk to the beach/Ocean.. Parking fee was strictly enforced (1000 tow fee) so we parked at our hotel walked everywhere. 1st thing we did was check in to our room & chance in to our swim wear, then we went to grab Ice cream. 4-5 min walk from hotel.. Rt after we grab pizza & chicken Alfredo.. (Pizza was decent but the Alfredo was mid at best) Finally made it to the beach ⛱️ & my had a whole ball!!. Beautiful beach.. No liter water was a great temperature on a beautiful day.. The sun 🌞 was high but we made it there & stayed til rt b4 dusk dark.. bout 4hrs.. Truely 🖤'd this mini vacay & would do this again in a heart beat!! My crew!!! 🖤🔯🤞🏾🔗 🗣 couple "Pictures".. say no more!! Read moreWe have been to Tybee Island several times. It’s always a fun time when we go. The hotels are nice and the restaurants are amazing. We enjoyed the beach. The only drawback to the beach is that it’s not pet friendly and we have a small dog that we would like to take her with us to the beach. You can get a fine for having pets on the beach. But it’s ok if the birds and stay cats and dogs to go on the beach and crap everywhere. They should have a section of the beach pet friendly. They would probably get more visitors. I still like going there in spite of the ridiculous rules. The pier is a real neat place to go for sunrises. We did a time lapse video of a sunrise there. We love the pizza, ice cream and local coffee shops. The light house is best, but I have never been in it because it’s always under construction when I’m there. We stayed a week at the Rivers end campground at Tybee. It is a real nice city owned campground. Very clean and big campsites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a pool, clubhouse close to the beach nice camp store. I’ve always enjoyed visiting the Island. Lots of local attractions. Check them...

1-Star Review for Tybee Beach Public Parking:
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Tybee Beach public parking. Despite paying for parking and following all the rules, we were slapped with a $115 parking ticket. We were in a 20ft van, which fits perfectly in a regular parking spot, and the lot was nearly empty—only one other car was there at the time. There was no justification for this outrageous fine, especially when we had already paid to park.
The lack of clear signage or communication about any restrictions for larger vehicles (which ours wasn’t even—it fit fine!) made this even more frustrating. It feels like a money grab rather than a legitimate parking enforcement issue. To add insult to injury, when we went to speak to both parking attending and pencil pushing ladies at the parking office, they were rude and completely lacked any sense of logic.
This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I would caution anyone visiting Tybee Beach to double-check the parking rules or avoid this lot altogether. Save yourself the hassle and don't visit...
