The elderly lady working the front desk was a complete and utter disaster. She had an attitude, constantly argued, and refused to look for equipment which was open for public use. She does not embody the YMCA slogan. The reason for the two stars is because another ymca worker (younger woman) was super nice and super helpful. Came to Tybee for vacation and needed to get leg day in, since I am way too locked in to be skipping it, and I stumbled across “YMCA Tybee” and it was 4 min away. There are certain hours that the gym is used as a coffee clutch,people just hanging on machines,or sitting on them shooting the beeze, some of them think they own the place & try ( succeed) in putting people off there machines...broke down machines stay that way to long...It does have decent equipment & if u can schedule your work out around socail...
