Went to this particular store looking for one of the days of beauty deals which she stated they did not carry it at that location as I thanked her and turned to go further into the store to get another purchase I heard the same lady while she was training a new associate saying something very condescending about me as I had turned away from her which is not appropriate you are setting a bad example in Philadelphia for 2 years, first as a part-time seasonal worker cashiering then transitioning to guest coordinator in the salon and then transitioning once again to hair stylist if this is the kind of attitude you guys are fostering with your team leaders I find it very disheartening to see Ulta's customer service standards being lowered do such a degree. The Philadelphia locations do not Foster this kind of attitude where the women who work in this particular industry think they're better than other women that's not okay especially if you're getting paid to help your customers and having worked for this company before it really angered me and I would like it if a manager could please get in touch with me thank you August 12, 2025 Yet again, another terrible experience at this location. I don't know what is going on here. The store is an absolute mess. Not one person asked me if I wanted help but they had no problem eyeballing me to make sure I wasn't stealing anything and following me around. Not only that they are selling expired products which I will include pictures. So I go to the counter with my purchases and I get my birthday gift. And I asked to use some of my points. She applies. All of my points doesn't ask me how many points I would like to use. Just took all of them and applied them. I just don't understand why there is just zero customer service. I don't get it like I've worked for Ulta. I know what is good customer service and what isn't and this store is just so lacking. It's dirty. It's not faced properly. Everyone has a lackluster attitude. They don't want to work. If your Caucasian forget about it. They don't like you. They don't want you in there. It's really disturbing. I don't think I'm going to be returning here. I know I keep saying that but I think I would rather travel farther to get better experience and not be treated as suspect when I'm just trying to shop. I just don't understand why everyone shares this attitude in this particular store. I'm very disappointed. I keep going in there. Expecting better service and I don't get it. I don't know of other people are getting it. Maybe it's just me, but it shouldn't matter who the customer is, especially if I'm nice and respectful, and because I've actually worked at Ulta stores that outperform this particular Ulta. Even worked when we moved stores and had to move all the product and the shelving and that was a huge undertaking. I worked as a cashier as a guest coordinator and as a hair stylist so I pretty much know the store inside and out. If you guys are looking for someone to improve customer experience, I would be delighted to work here either. As a hairstylist. I am licensed in Washington state as well as Pennsylvania and Arizona and I can deliver excellent customer service. Please get in...
Read moreUlta has a great rewards program especially since you can get some money back on drugstore products. But lately their customer service has really been lacking (it used to be really good). I'm not sure if they have been short staffed for the last few months or if it's a training issue perhaps, but lately every time I go in there is not a single employee walking the floor so I usually have to search the whole store until I find what I need (I try to check their inventory online), or actually go wait in the check out line just to ask if they have something. The check out line is what makes this rating only a 3. There is usually one girl frantically trying to check out one customer on one computer while processing a return for another customer on another computer, and also trying to welcome everyone coming in. It almost seems like they're not allowed to call for back up (or unless somehow they don't see the huge line building up) but even when they do it takes a long time or even some bickering to finally get someone up there to help. The back up employee usually seems annoyed. It's unfortunate that each checkout the last few times has taken over 10 minutes in line. Hoping they can fix this soon. It's really a great store with good products in a good location but they're not the only makeup store in town. Customers can easily go elsewhere for better service. Hope this...
Read moreThis place doesn't even deserve a gold star. I've never had a good experience here. First, I got my hair done with a new color, red. The lady who just did my hair was the only one working & I forgot to ask her for the right shampoo to use she ended up being busy with another customer right away. I asked an employee for help but she did the opposite of what I asked for & the shampoo that she recommended washed my new dye out. I was so mad. The salon lady was so unhappy with the employee & the manager did nothing about it but apologized to me. The second time I needed help on the Urban Decay product & another employee did the opposite of what I asked for so I ended up going to the mall & found what I needed. So much of coming here with uneducated employees that work here. I never step back into this store again. The terrible manager & the crews that work here are just clueless underage people. I have the best experience in the Tri Cities with very educated employees & they aren't just underage people but very well knowledgeable adults with a manager who goes above & beyond with their service! I hope this store in Yakima is on the list for the...
