I needed my hair done ASAP and didn't know where to go. I googled, "Silk press near me" and this salon popped up. I called and asked if they had any availability, but they told me that they work by appointment only. But the owner said, "for for a few bucks extra, they could take me as a walk in." I didn't mind paying the few extra dollars because this was a last minute thing and they work by appointment only, like most professional businesses do. When I arrived, they didn't who I was or that I was the person who had just called, and they STILL greeted me with a smile. The 1st thing I noticed was how clean the place was. The stylists were wearing masks when working over their clients. The environment felt very welcoming. I had let them know that I had just called about the walk in. They were already ready for me to start my services. I told them that my hair was natural and I wanted a silk press with a trim. She started to tell me that they specialize in natural hair care and suggested that I get what they called the "full experience" I agreed and we started. Everything was great. They were gentle with my natural hair, they knew how to comb it properly, they were not "scissor happy" had awesome conversation and I found out that the owner makes wigs too. Being in the shop almost felt like being in your favorite family members house. This was such a pleasant experience. I think I found my new hair stylist! I would definitely recommend to others and am definitely...
Read moreI waited to leave my review to try to protect black business owners, but her treatment and after response of leaving my AirPods on the floor and eventually not finding them due to my son leaving them was so uncalled for from the beginning. I let her know that I have to pick up my son so if she needed to cancel or continue with the appointment just so we can sit in a chair while I got my hair done that’s OK. She stated that I was making her nervous and giving her anxiety which I believe is so unprofessional and unnerving to tell a client I proceeded to go with the we installation, even though she continue to speak with a client who was just getting black hair dye for over an hour and talking about her deceased family member which I understand is traumatizing, but maybe you should have canceled instead of putting clients and a situation where they are now your therapist Please see below images of how she reacted and how she can react to you whether you are asking a question or not she is on Hinge and needs to be medicated. I ended up taking the wave after one week due to her, sewing in and overbooking our self a pack of hair that took out from my front waste of money and time very unprofessional and ghetto. Lesson learned and I understand I was an idiot for just sitting there and wasting my money and letting myself get intimidated to think I couldn’t leave never will...
