This past weekend, I had the pleasure of dining out with my family at this incredible restaurant that serves authentic Colombian cuisine. The food was simply delicious, and I could tell that they used natural ingredients and cooked with a lot of care and love. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, and I appreciated their hard work in providing us with such wonderful meals, snacks, and baked goods. It truly felt like I was dining in South America, with genuinely happy and friendly people eager to serve us. Naturally, leaving them a generous tip was the least we could do. I highly recommend trying their beef soup (sopa de res), which comes with steak, rice, plantains, and salad. The portions are quite generous, so come prepared to eat. Additionally, be sure to order something from their bakery and take something home for breakfast the next day. If you're looking for other recommendations, I suggest trying their fresh juices (orange, passionfruit), espresso, pan de bonos, pan de queso, and chicken and beef empanadas. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone who happens to be in town!

I visited Sabor de mi Tierra Colombian restaurant recently. It’s a decent size restaurant and some character with its murals, my experience fell short. I ordered the bandeja paisa, but the chiccahron was disappointing – rubbery skin, not crispy, and lukewarm, indicating it wasn't freshly fried and most likely sitting under a heat lamp. At $27.95, I expected better. The chiccahron lacked the star quality it should have had, and the steak wasn’t any better. The steak was lukewarm as well and consisted of three small pieces of meat, not one substantial portion. The chorizo was also very tiny like the size of my pinky. Compared to other Colombian restaurants in this area, the dish's portion size and quality were underwhelming. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place and rate it two stars. They truly missed the mark on this one. In my opinion any well respected Colombian restaurant would not have serve a chiccahron in such poor condition. If I were them, I'd be embarrassed. The rubbery chiccahron skin visibly bending on the plate clearly indicated its lack of crispiness and freshness. Typically, a well prepared chiccahron would have a crispy and stiff texture, but sadly, that wasn't the case here

I was very disappointed with my experience ordering food at this restaurant. I ordered my food and the email stated that the food will be ready in approximately 25 minutes. I arrived in 30 minutes but the food was not ready, which was no big deal so I waited. Time passed and I was getting no updates so I asked what the update was. They told me 5 minutes. I waited around 10 minutes and was feeling annoyed so I tried to get one the staff's attention. She looked at me then walked over to her coworker. I had to call out so she can turn around. I asked for her to come over so I can ask a question and she just stood there. I had to ask again and she finally walked over and I asked when the food would be ready. She asked the staff and she just told me, "It's okay". I didn't understand what that meant but I waited. I finally got the food after 1 whole hour. When I went home I was so disappointed by the quantity and what the food looked like. I don't understand why I received potatoes when I never asked for them. Overall, the customer service was bad and would have been better had they updated me without me having to ask every single time. First and last time I will order from here.

After a year of its grand opening I finally I got to have dinner at "Sabor de mi Tierra". I have to say this place surprised me with its cleanliness, service and delicious food during these pandemic times. Came here with my girlfriend and my in-laws and had a great time. Clean disinfected tables, everyone following safety protocols due to Covid-19 and clean bathrooms. The menu had a nice variety of delicious options with pictures so you know what your getting. I got the bandeja paisa and it was so good! All the flavors were spot on and nothing bland or salty. Also with what my girlfriend got and my in laws also was very good! The service was excellent with the waiters and I believe the owner asking if everything was ok. In conclusion I would definitely would like to come back to try more dishes!!!

Oh man, where to begin.... First when you walk in you are greated by deserts and bakery goods then the waiter seats you promptly and hands you a tech menu (definitely a cool touch) and now we get to the food. Carlos helped us make a decision I ordered my dish and since my wife wasn't to sure he made some awesome suggestion that paired with my dish in a way that we could taste a lot of what the restaurant offers. Presentation was really good but the flavor.... Is beyond words. We didn't get coffee or desert this time around ( we were in rush) but next time we will definitely get a café and dessert. Ima add some pics of our meal sorry in advance there weren't any pics of it disappearing but the experience was way to good to stop for pics hahaha.

As you walk into the restaurant you can smell the bakery and the cheese aroma coming to the front door as you open it. Then as you come inside the foyer you can hear the Spanish music blasting. I come inside the store was quickly greeted by one of the waiters and they told me I can sit anywhere I wanted to and I picked a spot right in the middle. Sat down and was quickly brought an iPad as the menu. It was one of the first times I saw it as a menu beside more commercial places like Buffalo Wild Wings or Olive Garden. I ordered the special breakfast and the passionfruit drink. The breakfast had cicarones, rice and beans, arrapa, eggs , sausage and maduros. Very delicious and a bit pricey for breakfast. Paid under 30 including 20% tip.
