I am a recent purchaser of a Tesla Model Y. I completed my transaction on Saturday, March 18th from the West Chester PA Tesla location. I wanted to share with you how impressed I was working with Michelle. I believe she was from the KOP sales location.
My situation was very unique, and time was of the utmost importance during my day of car buying and selling. I was selling both of my vehicles at a nearby Carmax and purchasing a Tesla, and with Saturday being my only free day, I needed to get this all done in a day. To complicate matters, I was bringing my father with me who was going to help us with this whole process. As you can imagine, selling two cars and buying two cars involved a ton of paperwork and timing. I called Michelle on Thursday to ask basic questions. It was hard getting through the phone prompts to speak to one individual, but I have never been so fortunate to speak to someone like Michelle. She answered all my questions, was pleasant, funny, and genuine. I felt like I was speaking to a friend; she is a great listener. She was sympathetic to my story and my urgency, and probably my stress levels trying to coordinate my purchase along with my outside sales. Panic was setting in as I worried there would be hiccups along the way, but Michelle never missed a step. She went as far as to give me her cell so I could text her with any questions and engage with her throughout the entire process. Saturday morning (March 16), I woke up and reserved my order. I immediately texted Michelle to inform her of my reservation but also to make sure I could get the car that specific day. She worked diligently to communicate with the West Chester store to ensure it would be ready for my arrival so I wouldn’t be “carless.” The process at Carmax was nothing short of a complete nightmare. The entire day of sales and purchase of a separate Honda for my wife took 7 hours. I was texting Michelle throughout the day, informing her that I was going to miss my pickup window and needed her to inform WC to delay my pickup. Each delay, Michelle came through without pause; she reached out and had it changed. My app would immediately reflect this… magic.
I am not a person to write “reviews”; quite honestly, I don’t think I have ever written one before, for good or for bad. But I am absolutely FLOORED at the service I have received. Tesla Model X had iritic screens, blinking icons and display while driving, turning off and rebooting itself intermittently in middle of the Highway while driving and in parking lot while reversing that is blocking traffic and creating safety hazard. Tesla Tried to repair Car almost every month for bad hardwares, chips or software issues. Thanks God it was still under warranty. Car turned of when Stopped at traffic light, rolled into vehicle in front causing accident, Emergeny roadside service couldn’t turn on the car. Police had to be towed to Tesla Service center because Tesla emergency roadside services would not turn on car. Tesla did not keep records of emergency services for Car or incident. No one calls back on incident that was reported for the accident to Tesla customer service. We ask for replacement of Car or free extended warranty for Car. No one calls from Tesla, All denied by Tesla. We took Tesla to arbitration to resolve problem under leman law case. Tesla insist vehicle is safe and drivable while car caused accident, blocked traffic and stopped while reversing. My Car’s Tesla 50000 mile warranty just completed. I had to purchase extended warranty by paying $5000, so Tesla can keep fixing future issues just like previous year every month. Extended warranty has fees of $200 per services visit. What a rip-off on extended warranty after paying $5000!! We are waiting for Arbitration order results in few days. We hope we don’t have to take Tesla to court to repair or replace bad car that is still under warranty. Read moreI'm rewriting my review because I came back to do a test drive and had a mediocre experience with setting up a test drive. I signed up the night before for a test drive and received a confirmation text. I wanted to do an overnight test drive, so the next day (day of test drive) I tried calling and the answering machine sent me through a bunch of prompts that ultimately ended in it telling me to use the website. So then I emailed the store's email that was on the website asking about doing an overnight. I also sent a text to the number that I got the confirmation from, which I have used to talk to Tesla representatives before. I got no response from either method. When I get to the store to do the test drive, the employee tells me I had to call in advance to set up the overnight and that I couldn't do it. I told him I called and he condescendingly tells me I probably called the wrong number. I told him the number I called (which was the right one) and he didn't say anything. When I was done with the test drive, I came back to the store and couldn't find any employee to give the key back to, and then I get a text from the employee that originally helped me thanking me for the drive and asking if I had any questions. I replied asking if I can text him at that number to schedule an overnight, and he never responded. I also never got a reply from the email (this all happened 2 weeks ago). As for returning the key, another employee eventually came out from the back and helped us finish up.
