Scandinavian Designs Furniture — Attraction in Vacaville

I had a very good experience here. In the process of buying a new home we shopped at a LOT of furniture stores. This one was by far the favorite.

I'll start with the people... We were always greeted and spoken to hospitably. There were times where I went in looking an absolute mess from painting or remodeling our old home, and was never ignored or rushed based on my appearance (I DO feel that's the case in some places especially where lots of money is changing hands like furniture or cars).

The staff was very attentive, maybe that's a little "pressure" as sales sometimes requires but after visiting six or so times we never once felt pressured. When we did engage with staff they were super nice and accommodating. They even gave us a sneak peek at the clearance side before it was open! Lots to be proud of here as far as personnel, nice job!

The showroom is immaculate, spacious and inviting. The furniture ranges from ordinary to space age with everything in between. If you're looking for a couch (like we were forever) go in and plant your butt in the Mirva collection. Most comfortable couch ever, and reasonably priced. We also bought a table and side board quite outside our budget but it was just too nice to pass up and just right for our needs.

As far as pricing goes, I think it's fair to say there's something for everyone here, except cheap. I didn't see anything cheap. I did see inexpensive, especially with their clearance building now open. I saw lots of mid range pricing and some high prices too, on what appeared to be very high quality furniture. So, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for, with a wide selection from premium / expensive to clearance / inexpensive.

Their payment options were very flexible too. The bank told us "don't go spending lots of money while you're in the loan closing process" but that is easier said than done. When you need stuff for your new house, you gotta get your orders placed! To help with that, SD allowed us to pay smaller "deposits" to secure delivery where we were able to pay the balance once we got past the loan process hurdles.

Overall, we spent about twice what we had planned to spend, but with some irresistible pieces of what seems like quality furniture in their bright, clean, spacious showroom we made some good decisions with great support from the staff.

SD will be our first stop for furniture from now on, and I'd highly recommend them, this little gem tucked away in Vacaville beats all the others we traveled to in search of the right stuff. Thanks, SD, we...

The best shopping experience was had when I purchased my bedroom set at Scandinavian Design. Kristin was the sales person who handled my purchase, but I had contact with a few of the employees at the store during the many visits I made while trying to make my final decision.

I liked the fact that the staff was low pressure. They were there to answer questions, but did not stalk you. Once I made my decision the purchase was written up quickly. The terms of the sale were reviewed with me upon final signing (details of delivery...mattress removal...guarantee info...etc).

I appreciate that the delivery people made contact by phone prior to their scheduled appointment time to let us know they were on track & would be there as scheduled. The guys were efficient & careful as they navigated the large items up our twisted staircase.

I would recommend Scandinavian Design Vacaville as a business that does it right!

This location is AMAZING they let you do your thing not pushy at all.. I’ve had a hard time choosing furniture to fill my new home but Angie has been there every step of the way from picking my living room to the fabrics, showing me the fabric protection spray test NOT trying to sell/push me to purchase but Angie showed her pride and certainty of the product and it sold itself, Angie went as far as a poke test of the Bella fabrics.. I’m very impressed by this location and the kindness of the individuals that work here, Now I’m just in waiting for the dining room I love so much to go on sale and I’ll be waiting at the door before they open to purchase it…Angie said she will keep me abreast..I can’t wait for my living room furniture to arrive it’s gorgeous.
