Best customer service I have experienced walking in to a shop in Vancouver & Portland. I can be a little intense at times but every employee I have interacted with on my trips in has been extremely welcoming and never once made me feel like they were holding their breath until I got the hell out of their store. I had inherited some random things this past year and while looking to sell things, I tried each vintage & antique shop in Vancouver, before House Of Vintage. I was honestly driving down Main Street, blasting music to drown out the condescending & annoyed voices of the previous 3 shop owners I talked to, when I saw this gem on the corner. I flew in their driveway, going the wrong direction and managed to trip walking into the store, ignoring the glaringly obvious watch your step sign, and stumbled to the counter. Pretty sure I wiped the sweat off my face before beginning a long rambling unnecessary back story. And you know, I was treated with more respect than I could have ever imagined. The gentleman listened to me, asked questions, told me how their shop works, what they like to buy and then made me an offer on my oddities. I have been back multiple times, meeting each employee and after the first visit, my name is known and I am greeted warmly. I have not even tried to find another place to sell my things. If they offered me $1 for something I could get $20 for elsewhere, I would still take the $1 because excellent customer service outweighs any dollar amount to me. Give them a shot people, they have a sweet layout inside, a wide variety of styles, and a group of people working there who actually enjoy what they do. You won't be...
Read moreI love vintage shopping for my blog and photography. I shopped here many times but today was my last time stepping foot in this rude and disrespectful store. As we were looking around and choosing things to buy we noticed that the young man who works there circled us multiple times. We were speaking in Spanish and he was looking at us very angry and intimidating. There were other people at the store at that time but he was just walking around us constantly. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe and we left the store without buying anything. This place is not worth it and I won’t recommend it to anyone. I’ll keep buying my antiques and vintage stuff at the other stores in...
Read moreHouse of Vintage has booth after booth packed with amazing vintage finds. There was one booth that really stood out to me — they had creatively used side tables to build a shelf, which I thought was such a clever and unique idea! (I even snapped a photo because it was so neat.)
You could easily spend over an hour browsing through everything here. There’s just so much to see, from furniture and home décor to clothing, art, and collectibles. Definitely a fun stop for anyone who loves vintage or enjoys a good...
