While positive reviews are generally preferred, it's important to share dissatisfaction with Scene75 Enterainment Center management/customer service (Dayton location) on Aug 16, 2025 at approximately 245pm.
What started out as a much anticipated trip, that my children looked forward to all summer, ended in utter dissatisfaction and disappointment.
The kids were told at the start of summer (after their father left on a long-term deployment) that if they worked hard to get all their steps in every day all summer that they would receive a fun day at scene75 with their grandmother. After over 100 days without their father, the last weekend of summer, and feeling greatly blue with missing their dad, it was decided to spend the day at scene75 as a family.
Toward the end of our visit, we told the kids we were going to go ahead and turn in our tickets for prizes, take prizes to the car, and then they could finish their rides passes with a few more rides. Upon reaching the ticket booth, after getting our tickets counted out the children decided what big prize they wanted to share......the Icee machine (shown in the picture) for 17,775 tickets. All combined we have close to 20,000 tickets so this was a perfect prize for the kids to enjoy the last weekend of summer & still have a bit to get small prizes such as small pieces of candy/etc. They have saved a lot of these tickets from our previous trips to said establishment.
Upon telling the lady at the register of the prize they selected she went and got the prize, and brought it back saying the prize price shown was wrong, the prize was actually over 25,000 tickets .....we politely requested a manager to speak to because the kids were looking forward to this.
The manager came and told us that the prize is as marked on the box and the "17,775 tickets" listed was for Only the speaker shown. We tried to vocalize that the prize amount cost shown was well below the prize amount he indicated. He repeated what he had said and indicated that we could go at this all day and it won't change that the prize is this amount.
We were not asking for the item for free, we were asking for the item for the price listed. After a few back and forth, I politely looked down at my 7yr old son and told him they said no, we will be leaving and vocalized our loyalty to their establishment in the past and how we were very disappointed.
I am not typically one to leave a negative review, however, my kids have been through enough this summer being without their father and having a LONG time left to go without him. This was a prize for them to look forward to while he was away. We have spent hundreds each visit, and thousands over the years at this establishment. The management left us very utterly disappointed and embarrassed. I hope in the future they can have their ticket prices listed as valid prices as today they have shown us that they will not honor the prices listed on the wall. I hope they save other children from the heartache of having saved their points/tickets from multiple trips to get something big, just to be left with disappointment and sadness.
picture attached, the prize was approximately 10-15ft above our head. They referenced the tiny little white square in the bottom left corner of the box with a different prize ticket cost than the white tag...
Read moreVery lengthy but needs to be said. We've loved scene 75 for years but sadly the last 3 times we've gone it's rapidly getting worse and worse. With them getting bought out it's just not the same. You can't ride most of the rides due to no staffing. There wasn't even a bartender this past Wednesday. We tried to get refreshments multiple times but no luck. Someone should ALWAYS be available to provide water and soda at the very least. The bouncy area was down for maintenance, and now there's a sign where only 13 and under are allowed? Many adults aren't actually bouncing and want to keep their kids safe in the bouncy area. This new rule is complete bullcrap! We couldn't get anyone to come over to take our order for food (and whats up with you have to order before you sit down? It puts people on the spot and makes them uncomfortable that they are holding up the line), nobody at the golf area, nobody is EVER at the bumper cars, nobody at laser tag, batting cages were closed. They only had 1 person jumping back and forth from the carousel to drop zone and one person at the coaster. They used to have 2 different concession stands now you have to go all the way to the corner by the golf to get snacks or drinks and they haven't had most of the things we wanted in stock the last 2 times we've gone. The few workers who are there now seem to hate their jobs, on their phones and not paying attention at the rides when they have children's lives in their hands.. We also watched a family of 3 walk on the drop zone 2 of the girls were definitely not tall enough and the dad only scanned the card 1 time which isn't fair to our 1 child. We then went to the coaster and I asked the lady if it's per person or per cart and she said per person so I stayed behind and let my daughter go by herself (she was very sad) then the same lady let 4 people on RIGHT after my daughter and didn't swipe a single card. We went to the gift shop at the end and they had nothing compared to what they used to maybe 30 things to choose from most junky things you can get at the dollar tree. We chose a bear worth 8000 tickets and had to wait quite a while for a manager to give the okay (the employee said their new policy is anything over 5000 tickets needs a manager override) it's just getting ridiculous which is sad, we really loved this place but with no staff and most of their rides not open I give it 1 year tops before they close it. If you like to just play games it's great, the games are affordable and most pay out well for tickets. If you want anything else food, rides, adult beverage good luck. I'm hoping it's a staffing issue that's getting resolved and not the new owners trying to cut payroll. Honestly if this place wants to remain open they need to fire the majority of their staff, close for a week and retrain/offer a competitive wage to retain GOOD employees who give a crap and hire double the amount than they currently have. We will try 1 more time, if it gets better I'll update my rating. Please old owners buy it back and turn it...
Read moreI booked birthday party for my son last Friday 5/30/2025, several weeks in advance. The day of we realized we were going to need more pizza for the party so from the time they opened until we were in route I tried to call them to add pizza's and even emailed them. Previously when I spoke to them about the party, they said it would not be a problem at all to add pizzas up until a few hours before the party. I could not get anyone to answer the phone or my email at all. I assumed they were just very busy with school recently letting out for the summer. When we arrived, they were not busy at all, and several employees were just standing around or sitting in the office. I asked to add the pizzas, and they said no problem, of course not when they are charging you $45 for two single topping pizzas. Our first pizza's arrived and they were delicious; we were very pleasantly surprised. We then waited for an hour for our two additional pizzas'; my wife and I were not able to eat since we made sure the kids at least had a few pieces each. Finally, we decided to let the kids go play since we didn't know when the pizzas were going to show. When our allotted time for our private room was about over, our hostess informed us that since our pizza's had not arrived, we could keep the room until that occurred. 20 minutes later I go back to the room to find her removing our drinks from the room and had to ask to keep them since our pizza had still not arrived, it was 8:00 and the party started at 6. 20 minutes later I go back and still no pizza, so I found the person who I thought was in charge and asked for the two pizzas' to be refunded. She gladly refunded the pizzas and apologized, but offered nothing else to make things right, not even to get us the pizza's still.
That's not all...while we were there my wife noticed she no longer had her phone. We searched all over for it and notified several employees but most of them seemed to be less than concerned and we seemed to be bothering them. Later that night, a little while after Scene 75 closed, the phone started to move. Maybe a coincidence that it was after they closed, either way luckily, we were able to track the phone even two days after and the Dayton Sheriff's department was able to get her phone back from the thief's home address.
**Update I reached out to the email that was given in the "owners response" below and even over a week after I received no...
