Don't really know where to begin honestly..... our stay started off normal... until the next morning (we stayed Friday- Sunday) when, I found BED BUGS all over both beds and located SEVERAL bites all over my roommate and I's bodies. I called down to the front desk to inform them of our discovery and, the reaction from the front desk agent was basically "....(yeah, we know we got them so, I'll just move you to another room like we did for the others that called and told us)..."....UMMMMMMMMMM.................. WAIT.... WHAT?????!!!!!!?????..........I hang up the phone & just stare at the now deceased BED BUG & now very itchy BED BUG bites.....
I'M ACTUALLY SPEECHLESS
As if that wasn't bad enough right, later on in the day (Saturday) as we returned to the hotel after a full day of working/ conferencing, we had to move all of our stuff from the 3rd floor room to the (new) 4th floor room WITHOUT A LUGGAGE CART OR ASSISTANCE FROM MANAGEMENT. Now, the hotel has cocktail hour/ happy hour where they serve alcoholic beverages from, I believe, 430pm-ish until 6pm. If you're not there by 610pm, unfortunately, no drinks for you! Now.... MY GOOGLE PEOPLE.... IF you have guests that have verifiable proof of bed bugs in YOUR FACILITY, and you've given them drink coupons to use for 3 drinks at happy hour... BUT.... you've also told them that you need their old room and that they need to switch rooms NOW.... wouldn't you maybe allow them to get these cocktails you've promised them EVEN IF it is after the 610pm deadline????? Instead, we're told NO & another guest, who swore he was the alcohol line police, called himself "telling on us" for, what he thought, is cutting in front of him in line! All in all- THIS HOTEL HAS BED BUGS & THEY KNOW ABOUT IT BUT, NOT ONLY DON'T THEY CARE BUT, THEY'RE WEREN'T (& PROBABLY AREN'T) GOING TO DO ANYTHING TO ACCOMMODATE THE GUESTS WHO ARE AFFECTED! If you've stayed here in the last 30 days, check your luggage...
Read moreMay 6-8th '25, three of us stayed in a Queen Suite at the Drury Dayton North. We were immediately greeted by staff then explained the amenities to our stay, and could smell and see the popcorn popping. What a nice touch! We went upstairs and found our room door wasn't closed, found that odd and a bit unnerving. The room itself was a nice size and the beds in the queen room were comfy. One of us was staying on the sofa bed, could not find sheets or pillows for that bed anywhere in the room. Fortunately, we brought our own blankets and pillows. The room wasn't as cleaned as I had hoped. The counter by the refrigerator had a sticky substance on it, not good. We unpacked our stuff and headed out for a bit, returned for the "Kickback." Wow! What an incredible treat! When we checked in, each of us had been given a card for three drinks. We headed to the cafe area and found a really nice little buffet of snack foods; hot dogs, pasta, grilled chicken, soup, salad, rolls, a soda station, and a bartender. We really enjoyed a nice meal and a welcome drink or two! On the way back to the room we got a bag of fresh popped corn. Tasty! The shower was great, three shower heads, including a handheld! Great pressure, nice thick towels and plenty of them! We were up early to head to the Air Force Museum but stopped again in the cafe for a fantastic breakfast of eggs, potatoes, sausage, pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, and coffee, also included with our stay. Wow again. One of the managers came around to our table to ask about our stay, nice touch! When we returned later that evening, we once again enjoyed the "Kickback." Another manager strolled through the cafe asking each table how their stay was going. Loved that! All of us agreed that the Drury was an exceptional experience. We would most definitely try to book at a Drury again, hope they build...
Read moreJust a wonderful experience! My arrival on January 5, 2017 was welcomed from all the staff and the other guest.I was there on a business matter for the early hours the following day. With the weather being frigid and not wanting to take any chances of being late, I booked a room at the last minute and drove 3.5 hours to this delightful establishment. I would like to name and thank the ones I had the pleasure of encountering. I would like to acknowledge Louis (Thank you for the hassle-free and last moment accommodations you made with my check-in...When do you sleep? :-) ) , Brandon (Thanks for the quick response with the television emergency, lol) and Kristi (Thank you kind lady for offering me further assistance with the freezing weather as a factor) for making my one night in Dayton an unforgettable and much appreciated one.
The room was very clean, nice bed, clean bathrooms, quiet stay (even though its off the expressway I didn't hear a peep). The price isn't steep, and if feeling it so it was well worth it. Everything in the room was up to date and modern. So modern in-fact I had a moment as to how to call the front desk. That's just me being outdated and use to rotary phones with cords on them. The free breakfast was better than expected as well with enough options for you to find something that you could enjoy. The eating area was tidy, well stocked and clean each time I was stopped in there.
Very convenient location, especially if you are not familiar with the city. Drury Inn & Suites Dayton North is located right off the freeway with a mass variety of restaurants .
I would definitely stay at there again would recommend it to anyone I know heading...
