Very disheartened- woke up at 4 am and drove 5.5 hours, paid for a hotel, for the Jesse Waters book signing event. Arrived for the event and stood for hours in the hot afternoon sun-as I was myself, I didn’t have the luxury others in groups had to walk away for food or water and have my place in line held. I was exhausted, in pain (back), and sunburned. I walked to the tent (will call) and was informed I could leave and return and they estimated to return in 4 hours so the line wouldn’t be as long. I did as they suggested. I went to the hotel. Showered. Rested for an hour. Went to grab a bite to eat. Returned. Upon return there were two employees at the door. I was informed the last persons were finishing and Jesse was signing their books. However, they wouldn’t let me in. I showed them my book I paid $35 for book and event, and explained I had been in line all afternoon and left to return as told to. They stated I could return Monday and purchase a signed copy. That isn’t the point. Meeting Jesse and having the book signed to me was the purpose of the trip and exhaust of the waiting in the sun. I only did what staff suggested and I ended up many hours of driving, a hotel bill, and sunburn-for nothing. Very disappointed. Attached is a photo of Johnny as he came to speak to the line-showing I was there in line all afternoon. Very very...

We enjoyed this book store but wished it had a more varied selection. The organization of said books confused our bibliophile minds as it was literally just fiction and nonfiction with no subcategories separation except for world history and us history and then around the edge, cooking Christian, sifi-science(which was a very loose interpretation) etc. We found the literature and poetic titles in 2 different areas, and romance was sprinkled throughout like a landmine field. Wish they kept those together. Young adult titles were everywhere we looked as well, not just in their small area. We Needed to find historical and mythology as well as a few other specifics but gave up because mythology titles were located in several areas, not in any one logical place. Plus, I know authors are normally alphabetical, but we saw 2 areas where they deviated from that path and then returned, so it was frustrating. Yes, we still enjoyed our visit because books, we love books. If we ever return to the area, we will absolutely give it another go. If you need a specific title I would suggest this store for sure just as a clerk for assistance, as they all seemed friendly. (We normally do not as we have never had issues at a book store(chin or independent) before and love to browse... plus this wasn't a...

Love Vero Beach, this is a lovely privately owned book center. Drove from WPB for Jesse Waters book signing. Organized, but a large number of people attended. 4+ hours in line. Clean parking area with lovely people to help that day. Unfortunately our books were not signed, and the book center was happy to exchange the 3 books purchased for 3 signed ones, so we took the day to travel to Vero Beach to exchange them. I was very impressed with this wonderful 2 story building and spent 2 hours with my friends there. A great place to get "lost" in... Such a variety of books, cards, gifts, and the sales attendants were actually well informed of the reading in different categories and were able to converse intelligently on subject matter. How refreshing... Such a treasure find. 📚 🎁 Highly recommend a day trip, then lunch and desert at many beachside restaurants and...

Found this gem on a little day trip to Vero Beach, FL. Not only is it all pink but its full of new books, used books, puzzles and more. Spent a little too long here. All books i found were in the used book section at a discount 😊 #verobeach #verobeachflorida #verobeachbookcenter #usedbookstore #floridabookstore #booktoker #hardinsletter

My husband and I visited the Vero Beach Book Center last week to attend an author event and book signing. It was the first time we had been there but it won't be our last! The store is 2 stories with a wonderful selection of books of all genres and a very large children's and YA section! The store also carried journals, cards, bookmarkers, stationery, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I had great conversations with several of them! If you have a chance, pay them a visit!
