Mount Trashmore Skate Park — Attraction in Virginia Beach

Skatepark itself is fine, but a great example of government inefficiency. You don't pay at skatepark, but two roads down. Long form to fill out, guy didnt have change, and we took our receipts to skatepark where the guy working the hut took no less than 10 min to write down the same thing on our forms. Took approx 25 min just to pay. Visited two days later, no one at office, went to skate park, they told us to go back to office. Keep in mind, this back and forth is not walking distance. Just absolutely an amazing park. It's a place to bring the family or just hang out by yourself and enjoy the scenery. There are so many things to do here. There is a skate park, play areas, picnic areas, and areas for fitness workouts. I usually bring my blanket and read a book or I bring the kids out to ride their bikes and play kick ball. They love running up and down the mountain hills. This is a must see and experience when you come to Virginia Beach. The park is huge and everyone of all ages...

I love the park area and it’s put together really well but, why the hell would they change the skatepark... it’s alright but there is so much space that they could have used but they left untouched, and it would have been cheaper just to fix all the cracks or holes THEN TO BUILD A HOLE NEW SKATEPARK, mind you, its sooo much worse.
