I absolutely loved staying here only wish they had two bedroom suites with 4 beds not just 2. If they did I wouldn't have had to go to another hotel that doesn't even compare to how much I loved this place. I would have spent all 3 weeks there instead of the few days. I was so spoiled their that the hotel I had to transfer to only due to size must think I am a diva asking if they have dish soap and a sponge or chopping knives, tongs etc. The kitchen is bigger and nicer than my own house. I took pictures because I literally want my kitchen designed the same way. I need names and numbers to where I can get the counters and floors. I even love the wall paper. Why oh why dont you have two room suites with 4 beds. The staff was very friendly. They allowed me to borrow their rolling cart every morning to put my families breakfast on and take to my room as long as I returned it promptly. Man the looks I got from the other guest with the amount of food I had on there but there are 7 of us. I loved the oatmeal bar, my girls loved the waffle bar, i liked the variety of hot entrees and fresh fruit. The staff even spoiled my girls with night time icecream. The laundry room was close to the rooms too. Highly recommend this hotel. Couple of recommendations. Trays would be very helpful for bringing breakfast back to the room. I have brought my own and everyone stops and asks where I got it. They said it is so smart because many people just want to eat in their room. Also. Magnets with your room number on it to place on the washer and dryers you are using. Some guest forget about their clothes and hold everyone else up from using them. This way front desk can be notified and can reach out to the guest or put the clothes in their room for them. I tape my room number on the washer and dryer now so if they need to reach me they know where to find me. They gladly put my clothes in my room when I had to run and pick up my kids and there was still 15min left on the dryer. Oh and again its free to do your laundry. Huge perk with my big family. Can't stress that enough. A variety of pastries in the morning are good. Maybe also add danishes or muffins. The 2 conjoined rooms worked out great my 2nd stay. 4 Q beds and 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms! When you know your housekeeper and maintenance people by name then you know your with good people. Thank you Dave and Jenny for...
Read moreJust in from the airport. It's 12:35am. I rang the doorbell about 4 times. No one came. I tapped on the window. No one came. Finally after the 5th buzzer someone came to the door. Person on duty had an attitude. What can I help you with. I have my luggage in hand. I said I'd like to check in. Upon checking in, I had questions. The lady obviously didn't know the answers and she got agitated and refused to help me. She told me their policy has been the same. While this establishment may have the same policy, all Marriotts must not, I just left one and the check-in process was different which caused the questions. Instead of trying to help, she just said she would not go "back and fourth with me."
I am not a child.
It's okay to admit you don't have the answers.
A guy came out the office and cancels my reservation after charging my card. He did not have a conversation with me. He would not give me a receipt or prove cancellation. Which triggered me calling the police.
I'll assume he was the manger, if the manager acts this way, I'm sure the staff up under him does. It just trickles down.
I am typing this review as I am waiting on the police. I don't mind leaving. It's probably the best since the staff cannot answer basic questions about the credit card policy and the staff is super aggressive and rude. I DIDN'T FEEL SAFE.
The fact that they were sitting there in the office listening to people knock at the door and tap on the glass is crazy.
The guy calls "HR" at 12:40am "ish" and while I'm talking to the police telling them I just want confirmation for the cancellation because she did swipe my card. They cancelled my reservation, not me. They also refused to give me proof. The guys proceeds to tell me I know their policy. I told him I don't. He said yes you do. I'm not sure why he wanted to argue. Very confrontational staff.
I'm not sure who he thought I was, I'll assume he thinks everyone looks the same or acts the same. Maybe he's done this before. Seems like a power trip.
Edited. Anyway. I've made it to my Hilton. Nice staff here.
I hope you all have a better experience than I did. Please be safe with the...

THE FIRE ESCAPE DOORS ARE LEFT OPEN. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. DUST ON TOP OF FRIDGE IS A FIRE/EXPLOSIVE HAZARD
#1) The room was immaculate aside from dust on the fridge. The washing machine had mold and mildew. When I came back to dry my blanket, a man entered and asked "Are you swapping your laundry?" I asked him "Please step out of the laundry room" He asked again and I doubled down. When I exited the room, a woman he was chatting with said "Dont worry I'll use your washer" I came back shortly and found my blanket smelling heavily of urine. Staff has no cameras anywhere in common areas. They did nothing to help. I had to throw away my blanket. The one I slept with while homeless all year that a friend gave to me. #2) The room was once again immaculate until i found the dishes covered in hard water stains and grease; they had not been used months, possibly years left alone washed or sanitized. The room next to me was full of teenagers not wearing masks passing in and out of the hotel. Through the walls, i could hear them harassing me and belittling me, intentionally. A guest knocked on my door and ran off. Later, two girls could be overheard "Autistic boy is going to learn today" "Hes faking it" At roughly 6 am, two VBPD agents were sent to dispatch me from my room a day early for "noise coming from this room" Upon speaking with them IN MY ROOM, I revealed to them the circumstances relevant and proceeded to pack my things. Despite taking my time, I still misplaced a one of a kind American flag hoodie and my contacts case. I intentionally left my shampoo. Today, I recieved an email; "Thank you for staying with us... check out time 12:15 pm January 4th. Not only is this a fraudulently filed email but I was checked into the CAVALIER YESTERDAY AT 8 AM. Most of the people staff included would just stare at me with a blank expressionless look on their faces even when I greeted them genuinely. This BONVOY NEEDS A...
