A bit more to be desired. Our experience started out a little off putting as we had to pay full price for our son who is barely over a year old. I didn't understand why they have a 12-month old cutoff for the full price, but whatever, we considered it a donation to the animals.
The petting zoo part was nice as there were a large variety of animals. After that though was a bit disappointing. The hay ride was basically a complete waste of time. If you like to see junked cars and scrap metal, well then you're in luck, because that's about all you see. No themed items, no personality, just stuck on a trailer looping around a desolate property.
Then the pumpkin patch was some slim pickens, it's a week before Halloween for context though, so I can't totally gripe about that. However the patch itself has some questionable items in it lying on the ground. I didn't really want my son on the ground because of it (an old exposed battery pack for a cordless drill right by the entrance for example that was probably there for a long time). Your going to have young kids there and there is staff... can't somebody go in and just clean up these things?
The other activities were ok for older kids. In the end it's not the worst place but there's other options out there that would probably provide a better time, hence the...
Read moreWebsite says Petting Farm... we went to go see and PET animals with my kids... but it's more like a "feeding animals through a mesh fence" farm. At the time (July 2018), it was $3 per person, over 1 yrs old; they also sell a bag of carrot slices for $3 each. Not breaking the bank, so that was nice.FYI - you'll run out of a bag of carrots by the time you pass the sheep, so might as well get 2 bags. The only way my children could "pet" any animals was a brief touch on their nose as they shoved their mouths through the wire to get a carrot. They were so ravenous to get a carrot, that it didn't seem safe for my little ones to put their hands that close to their mouths. They tell you to "follow the path" for the animals, but the path divides, and you'll have to go back the way you came - then go ALLL the way to the back behind the farm and to the right. You'll think you're going off limits, but that's where more cows and the pigs are. Overall, it was cute for about an hour - the kids liked seeing the animals and it was nice to get out for some sun and fresh air. We were hoping for a true petting experience, so we likely won't go out of our way to visit here again. Their produce looked nice and fresh, but not anything we couldn't get...
Read moreThe farm is dirty and their business practices are horrible ! I had my 7 year old daughterâs birthday party there. They Charged me $20 a person for my elderly grandparents to sit on a bench. I was initially promised pumpkins for each kid and then they changed their story. Who ever booked my party had mis information and they didnât make good on it .I paid $1000 and had to do all the work and provide food. The owner fought me every step of the way saying she did not book the party. Well your staff did . Do better . Itâs criminal the way they treated us . I will never go back . It broke down to $20 a person . I was never given a contract or directed to the website. After the party i looked up and saw the website says $15. I provided food drinks set up and clean up . The husband offered to take $150 off but I was still charged the...
