Being a huge Adam West fan (my bedtime was prior to the Batman TV show, but I whined until they let me stay up to watch). I was dismayed that the only day I would be in Walla Walla the museum was closed. I sent an email to the staff and they were very gracious to open the museum on Wednesday exclusively for me. The care taker was very knowledgeable and kindhearted. I tailored my tour to see the Batman room last. It was everything I could have hoped for. While there, a gentleman staff member arrived and poo pooed the Batman room, saying it had no business being in the museum. I also read posts here where some feel the same way. There are many more Walla Wallan's from our past who had a direct, positive impact an this city and should be acknowledged. I expected to hear about the Kirkman's story. Pretty much ended up doing a self tour for $10.00 after escaping the "Bat" room.This truly is a beautiful example of an historic building containing historic furnishings but it still needs a lot of remodel work.
