Quick weekened vacation in historical Walla Walla Wa. 🧡♥️ if you ever get a chance to visit you must stay at the Wesley. Truly memorable 🏠 #wallawallawashington #thewesley #vacationmode

One of the most annoying things for me about hotel stays is the check-in and check-out process. The Wesley has this problem solved! Check-in is handled ahead of time and access codes are given through text. The converge, Pascal, is available by text to address concerns or answer questions any time. Checking out is handled in much the same way! The grounds and the room (the entire property, actually!) are exquisite. The property offers a lot of space for outdoor dining and socializing, as well as propane grills. It’s walkable to the best Walla Walla has to offer for shopping and dining, and just a short drive to Pioneer Park. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and much to our surprise, a full sized refrigerator, Keurig, and countertop ice machine were in the hallway! The only suggestions I have are for some lower hooks for us shorties to hang clothes and towels, maybe an extra towel for each guest, and a garbage pail added to the WC. My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Wesley Walla Walla very much. Our only regrets are that we didn’t plan for a longer stay. Thank you for the lovely getaway, Wesley, we will be back!

I’ve been coming to Walla Walla several times a year for years. I don’t know how I’ve never stayed at The Wesley before! What a fabulous place. The most perfect location for walking to everything! It’s like having your own private home right downtown. It was lovely after a hot day of walking to be able to be in the pool in the twilight hours. I found myself watching the clouds go by and realized I can’t think of when I’ve had time for this and peace like this. It seems they’ve thought of everything you might want, every little corner has something for your comfort and convenience. The yard and home are gorgeous. Thank you, Wesley Walla Walla for reminding me to slow down and find wonder in life again. I’ll be back as soon as I can!

We recently stayed at The Wesley with another couple and it served as our home base for what was primarily a wine-tasting weekend. I have been to Walla Walla numerous times and have stayed at just about every interesting property within a 5 miles radius of downtown. There are many beautiful properties in that area, but The Wesley is outstandingly unique.

The space itself is utterly charming. The building must be somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 years old, but the owner or a recent owner performed a fantastic remodel to modernize it and add a modern flair that is unique to this property. It has all the beauty of an older home but that beauty has been fused with a modern, playful design scheme that makes it impossible not to smile upon entry. The shared spaces on site are embarrassingly generous - multiple fire pits, hot tubs, games, etc. plus a party space downstairs that could host over a dozen revelers easily, But even with all those amenities, when it came time to retreat to our apartment we were met with peace and a good night's sleep.

The location of The Wesley is perfect. It is less than a five minute walk to downtown Walla Walla, and one could easily spend a weekend there without needing a car. It's far enough away from the college that you're not kept up by late parties, but close enough to visit in a few moments. Walla Walla can be very hot or very cold at times so proximity to attractions is valuable, and The Wesley provides a great balance in this area.

Even while the property and location is amazing, the real standout was the on-site staff. We were greeted by Keilah upon check-in and she seemed to be in the building almost constantly. We were always greeted with a smile and asked what we needed to enhance our stay (though we never needed anything) and it was obvious that she was the kind of person who was passionate about hosting us rather than someone to whom property management was merely a job. Her warmth, and the helpfulness of her young daughter Brinley, made us all feel immediately at home at The Wesley.

One of the features of Walla Walla that keeps me coming back is the sheer friendliness of the city and the people who live there. The quality of the space and the incredible welcome from Keilah and Brinley create a level of comfort that is hard to replicate. We very much look forward to seeing our new friends at The...

This was a really nice place to stay. All though there were a couple of things I didn't like about the place. I didn't like the parking very much. It's hard to find the driveway from the main road and there wasn't a lot of parking. The cars were parked kinda slanted so getting out was a little hard and you had to drive backwards to get out and on to the street cause you don't have room to turn around and they had cones up in the back so that was the only way to get out. With that street being fairly busy, it was scary. And the other thing I didn't like was that the pool closed at 10pm We stayed there the night of 4th of July so by the time we got done watching fireworks and back to our room it was to late to sit in the jacuzzi and relax before going to bed. For the price you pay to stay here, the pool should definitely be open later at least midnight! This is what stopped other friends from staying here. What I did like about this place was that the rooms were very nice, had lots of extra soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and they even had makeup wipes. It was clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. It had plates, silverware, pots, and pans, so if you wanted to do some cooking, you could cause it had everything you need. This place had a home feel to it. We had a room that was like an apartment. We had a full-size kitchen 2 bedroom, a full bathroom with a nice walk-in shower, no bathtub, but that wasn't a big deal for us. The kitchen had all updated nice appliances. And the view from the balcony was really nice. It also had a room upstairs from the living room with 2 couches, which was pretty neat. I would love to stay here again next time we come to walla walla cause we come often but the pool not being open very late might make us choose a different place. It will depend on how long we will be there and what we're coming there for. I would give this place a 7 out of 10. It's great if you don't plan on going swimming for long and you don't mind...

Pros:

  1. The backyard lounging area with hot tub is really nice and relaxing
  2. Easy remote checkin process -- building is clean and nice and our room was modern
  3. the grounds give off a feeling of b&b - so the opposite of a large convention center type hotel

Cons: Honestly the cons really colored our trip and why I wouldn't come back.

  1. We had just finished two hard days of hiking and I specifically picked a place that would do our laundry. They advertised it as $20/load, which I confirmed, and they ended up charging us $27 - yes, I'm sure that amount was on the reader when my friend paid, but we were exhausted and didn't notice. when I asked about it later, Pascal said it was for his time and taxes - hmm.... Also, and much more importantly, he took our laundry and instead of folding it (or barely folding it which is fine), he just shoved it all crumpled into a bag - literally crumpled into a ball. Again, when I asked later, he said that it would have been more money to have it folded. Are you kidding me. After pushing back, I did get a half refund.
  2. It was cheaper to book through booking.com and a lot cheaper to book a king bed than two doubles (i'm traveling with a friend) ok, fine - we can sleep in a king bed together for a night. Yes, I booked it online, but I called ahead and Pascal knew that it was two friends traveling together. This hotel was dead (shoulder season) with many empty rooms. Without realizing it, I booked a king room with no privacy - the shower and tub had no privacy to the bedroom. Pascal was there when we checked in (and monitoring reservations). I had just talked to him. He could have given a tiny bit of customer service and said, "hey did you know that you will be showering in front of each other" and offered to put us in a more appropriate room.

I gave this place 4 stars, but I wanted to give it 3 - I just don't want to be a jerk and mess with it's...
