The best wine I’ve had by far! Unfortunately, the owner and wine maker, Steve, was out of town this past weekend but we were lucky enough to have Derek, his friend, guide us through the wine tasting. I am not a white wine fan but I ended up purchasing two bottles of “Fretboard,” his Viognier, because it is literally the best white wine I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. Tasting ($10) and bottles were very fairly priced, considering the quality of the wine and the experience, I’d have expected to pay three times the amount I spent. As most other places, tasting fee is waived with a bottle purchase.
The tasting itself was wonderful, Derek told us all of the adorable and hilarious stories behind the names of the wine and where the wines were from, how they were made, etc. We left feeling as if we made a friend in Derek and in Steve, though we never had the pleasure of meeting him!
Very cool, relaxed atmosphere where you can come as you are and leave ruined, as no other tasting experience will measure up. Again, the BEST wine and I will make sure to hit Time & Direction each time we return to...
Read moreCan’t say enough good things about this place. The wine is interesting and different and good! The space is comfortable, unpretentious and full of interesting things to look at. The stories behind the wine and wine names/labels are smart and sometimes irreverent which is welcome and needed in the wine world! Emily was endlessly patient and accommodating as well as charming and knowledgeable. I only wish I could have stayed here longer. Left with several bottles. Will...

We ended up ordering a bottle of Time and Direction at Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen that evening and I have not stopped thinking about it since. Yes the food was amazing but the wine was superb. I have not yet made it to the new tasting room - but it will certainly be my first stop next time I'm in Walla Walla. So happy to see he has his own place and can spread joy through what he is most...
