My choice of AMC theatre's exclusively is the Tysons Corner Center, McLean, I am open to new experiences within my surroundings and I am very pleased with Georgetown as a place so I decided to check out the AMC Georgetown for a late-afternoon screening in IMAX which is my preferred option when I go see a Movie. After having purchased my tickets with my A-List Stubs I was super excited and snacks ready. A few minutes before the film was scheduled to begin, as I am always early. I made my way to my seat as allocated.. I actually stood in shock as I STOPPED and looked around me. With the lights partially on This Auditorium #7 was FILTHY. And I mean.. Disgusting. I saw a 19:15Pm show and The Floor was super soda Sticky.. with the USUAL garbage and popcorn everywhere.. and Literary there were actually clothes laying around including rain coats/caps with an Umbrella as well. This was PREMIUM screen in IMAX and had NOT been CLEANED At All for at Least for The Whole Day.. And this was a NEW Title playing..#FreeGuy. I am Fully vaccinated! I STILL Double mask/ I STILL socially Distance and comply FULLY in accordance with all regulations. I love The THEATRE experience and I expect the exhibitors to comply and Stand by Their Health and Safety Regulations?? I had to Cancel my Showing and Leave 100% because Cleaning This Theatre at That time is TOO Little and Way TOO Late Mr. Management.. That's unacceptable.. Especially During This Unprecedented Time in Our Lifetime!!.. Keep your Theater CLEAN.. No excuses/Exceptions. I will return to Tyson's again. And to say This my First-Time at the Theatre and will certainly NOT be returning or Recommend...
Read moreIf I could give this theater ZERO stars, I would. I have never had such a terrible customer service experience at a movie theater than I had here in May 2025. I had free AMC movie passes that never expire. The AMC purchase screens/machines would not accept the passes. And when I asked for help, the staff would not accept them either. They wouldn't let us into the movie. They said I had to take a picture of the pass, email (?!?!) it to AMC headquarters, and maybe before 5pm AMC would email back... and (here's the kicker) in the meantime, since the movie was about to start, I should PAY FOR THE MOVIE TICKETS (and then "maybe" I would get a refund from that random AMC headquarters email). The staff said there was no main AMC phone number, only this email.
Mind you, these were AMC movie passes, generated by AMC, purchased at AMC, but somehow not readable by an AMC machine, and not accepted by an AMC staffperson at an AMC theater. (In other words, these were not third-party passes that might reasonably require some kind of intermediary step.) Essentially, the staff here were trying to cheat me into buying tickets when I had free movie passes. I tried bringing up several different ways to solve this problem, but all I got in return were blank, dead stares and a robotic "We cannot do that" in response. ...
Read moreI hadn’t been to a movie theater since before the pandemic. And based on the experience at this theater yesterday afternoon, I won’t be going back.
The aisles of the stadium theater were so dark, even before the previews started, that many people couldn’t find their seats. They were wandering around in swarms using their cell phone flashlights. No one from the theater was offering assistance.
When the previews began, the volume was so ear-splitting that it increased the general confusion. Many were stopping to ask those of use already seated what row we were in. But the noise was so loud, they had to shout their questions.
One elderly man took a misstep and somersaulted down three or four steps in one of the side aisles. As he went down, he threw his drink into the air, dowsing the row in front of me. Several of us went to help him (but no employees of the theater). He said he wasn’t hurt, but was afraid to try to stand again. So he lay in the aisle while a couple of us went out front to look for help.
I asked one employee if I could inform him of the general mayhem in the theatre and he said, “Probably not.” When I told him anyway, he turned his back on me. When I returned to the theater, the fall victim seemed to have plenty of help (still no employees of the theater), so I left.
I...
