Learn moreThis is probably the most interesting thing I’ve ever seen! While waiting for some friends to finish in a nearby store, I decided to check this out. I didn’t get to ride on the boat but witnessed a group on what appeared to be a tour. The guide was dressed for the part and it looked cool, so hopefully I’ll get to do this the next time I’m in the area. Read moreA wonderful piece of history, fortunately preserved. It's fun to sit on the banks of the canal for lunch, perhaps picked up at one of the nearby cafés, and try to picture mules drawing barges in the 1800s... perhaps just a pleasant outing or perhaps on the first stage of a full-fledged move westward.
I don't know if they still have barge and mule trips on the canal, but if so don't...
